First off, I remember my mom highly recommending Mid Rivers Appliance to me years ago when she had an ice maker and washer repaired.

I am so glad that I stored that information in my little hard drive section of my brain!

I went into Mid Rivers Appliance looking to replace my 10 year old Whirlpool Electric Dryer, because it was taking two cycles to dry a load. At the time, there were only a few used electric dryers on the showroom floor.
Henry greeted me and asked a few questions about the situation with my dryer. He explained their service and repair routine, and assured me that it might be worth my while to have my dryer repaired, since they are good solid machines.

WOW!!!
I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for the service and repair on my dryer! I only had to wait like one day. Henry was able to repair my dryer to PERFECT working condition!!!! It cost me 1/4 of what it would have to replace my dryer, even with a pre-owned one!!! He even fixed my lint screen which I was having trouble with for years!

I am completely happy with not only my perfectly working dryer, but the entire experience! Wonderful customer service, incredible value, honesty and mad skills! What more could you ask for?

I had purchased a dryer and refridgerator from MRA and their service and prices were great. So naturally when my washer stopped working I went there to buy one, hoping to spend $250 to $300. They told me that they now did service calls and that they would come look at my washer, tell me whats wrong with it and how much to fix it for I think $50. I figured why pay for a service call when I'd planned on getting a new-used washer anyway.He then told me that if the repair was going to cost more than I wanted to spend, that I could apply the service call charge to my next purchase. What the heck, I couldn't loss with that deal.This was at about 3 pm Sat., they came out Mon., listened to the washer for a minute, pulled the front cover, leaned it back, put the new part on, then hauled away an old dryer I had in less than a half hour and less than $100! Nowadays, who talks you out of paying more money at their store to save you money? I always recommend Mid Rivers Appl. to anyone thats having problems with, or looking for an appliance.

I work with a certain non-profit group in central Missouri and I called them out of a need for a commercial washer and dryer, because we destroy residential machines. They were more than helpful and were even willing to donate to us by giving us a discount on the set. Overall, we had a very positive experience with this company and their customer service was top notch. I will most certainly refer anyone I meet to them.

I have been buying items from Mid Rivers Appliance since 1996, (14 years) I have purchased 2 washer & dryer sets, 3 refridgerators & 2 stoves. My brother has purchased a washer & dryer, refridgerator, My parents have purchased a stove, refridgerator & washer/dryer set as well.. Over 8 different family members have made purchases and many of my friends. In 14 years of experience with the owner, I have NEVER experienced a rude employee of this store. I do have to admit, back in the day the prices were more cheaper, however, the prices today are still ALOT better than new purchases from a Chain store. I give them 10 stars for service, product & Customer Service. I recommend them to ANYONE!! As for the customer with rude service... I absolutely DO NOT believe it for one minute!!!!

I went into the store yesterday expecting to buy a good used clothes dryer. Instead they suggested they could come to my house and fix mine. TODAY a wonderful repairman came as promised fixed my dryer( and a broken knob on my washer--at no extra charge) and the cost was only $65. as they had told me it would be!!!

My husband and I went into Mid Rivers Appliance yesterday to look for a refrigerator. There was a lady who walked in right in front of us, and he started to help her...which is understandable. However, we stood in there for 19 minutes, without even as much as a "Hello, I will be with you guys shortly". Well, I just had surgery on my foot, and it hurts like heck especially from standing there for so long. So, finally we just decided to leave. As were walking out after 19 min. of NOT SO MUCH AS A hello, he yelled "Did you need something"? I said just wanted to know how much the this fridge was, but never mind. He's like $499.00. I then tried to point out to him that one of the 1st steps to good customer service, is to acknowledge your customers even if you can't get to them right away...that's all I said. He then started yelling at us, and he said that we probably couldn't even afford the fridge(which we could more than afford it, I hate to pay retail for new stuff) and for us to get out. He also said that he wouldn't even sell us a door stop...no clue what that had to do with anything. The big issue here is that he was so wrapped up trying to sell his service fee of $50.00 to the other lady to put a timer in her washer (her husband wanted to fix himself) that he lost a $500.00 sale on a fridge with us for being so rude. If he would have just said something like I'm sorry, I will be with you guys shortly, all would have been fine. Instead he decided to go off the deep end. We would have waited for him to be done with the lady he was helping, we just wanted to be acknowledged. I will never return to Mid Rivers Appliance Store...nor do I recommend it to anyone else. They are very rude and unprofessional.

My husband dropped a can of mace into the dryer vent and turned the dryer on before realizing what had happened. Of course "BOOM, SCREECH, POP" I then took my dryer to Mid Rivers Appliance and asked what the damage was, $75 to fix some bent thing and replace the belt. This was 2 years ago and the dryer is still running strong, even though I continue to let my husband use it :)

Cool idea...when I went to pick up the dryer, there was a lady in there buying appliances for her niece as a surprise gift as her niece had just closed on her first house!

Extremely knowledgeable. Been in the business 30 years. Very inexpensive with good warranty, labor and parts discounts. I highly recommend that you give these guys a call for existing appliance support or if you are in the market for reconditioned appliances. They will give you an honest answer without trying to up sell you.

I am very happy with the help I have received from Mid Rivers Appliance. When my washer broke my father took it apart and found the broken part. I called Sears' parts department because it was a Kenmore washer. The part was priced ok but shipping was going to be rather expensive and it would take several days for me to receive. I then called Mid Rivers Appliance. They had the part in stock for a lower price. I was able to drive the couple of miles to the store, pick up the part and get it back on the washer right away. The employee I dealt with knew exactly what I needed and was very helpful.

Just recently I stopped in at the store hoping to find a water filter for my refridgerator ice maker. They did not carry the item I needed but gave me directions to another local store that did stock the item.

I am impressed that they helped me even when they received no benefit. I will certainly check with them first for all my appliance repair and parts needs.

I have used this company to repair both my washer and dryer. They are very prompt and competitively priced for maintenance. Their new sales are not very competitive with Lowes or Home Depot. I recommend them for their appliance maintenance only.

PROS: experienced staff, competitively priced maintenance
CONS: only one location, prices are high on new appliances
