Metro the Salon and Spa

I got a full leg wax here. The person who did the waxing was very nice and personable and seemed to really know what she was doing. She seemed to do a good job with being patient as I whined about the more tender areas of my legs. The ambiance was great, the room was comfortable, the wine and couches are definitely a nice touch. My mom got a pedicure, which she loved, and she felt like a queen all day. The wine helped. We'll be going there again this weekend for my mom's birthday, I'll bet.

PRO: Ambiance, services, products, location, wine, Pedicure, Waxing technician (blonde female)
CON: Individual who made my first appointment had bad information (didn't matter because I knew better, anyway)

that last reviewer doesn't know what they are talking about. I have been going to Mark who is at metro for ten years, I've never had a bad hair do there, and that nail tech, Kim, isn't even there anymore. I guess if that reviewer went to Florida once and it rained on them they would say the Florida is the rainiest place ever!

the metro is all thumbs up in my book.
but, I like getting compliments on my hair, thanks!)

I too went with high expectations of the Salon and Spa, but was greatly dissatisfied! I didn't receive a hair service, and by the look of the styles coming out of there I NEVER would! I unfortunately got a manicure (acrylic) & pedicure; and it is without a doubt the worst (and MOST EXPENSIVE) full set I have every received not to mention it took 4 HOURS because she didn't use drills or electric buffers. Just so there is no confusion on which Metro we are talking about, Kim the main nail tech- was truly under-qualified! Not only did it look like my 10 yr old niece did it, but it is only 3 days later and it looks like they are already 2 weeks old. I would never go back to this place, and the only tip I could give to other customers is to go somewhere else!

I found this place on line and thought I would try it out since my old stylist moved out of town. I like it! It has a great feel to it. I had a glass of wine before my turn and I bought some Comfort Zone skin stuff there too. This stuff is amazing on my wrinkles. check it out if you've never been.

This salon is great! The atmosphere is nice and my hair always looks great when I walk out the door! It is nice to have an open, relaxing place in St. Charles!

Ok, so I never heard of Metro The Salon And Spa until I looked online for a salon in St. Charles. I took a chance with the place. I am a picky person and for me to like it means a lot! It very stylish and gorgeous salon! Everyone is so nice and friendly. They offered me something to drink as soon as I sat. I told her how I wanted to my hair to look, and she nailed it!! I highly recommend anyone to this place! I went back for a facial in the spa, it was incredible!! I could not believe how wonderful I looked and felt afterward... relaxed and beautiful. I look forward to my next appointment!

I just got the best massage ever! I get a lot of massages and that was hands down the best! Girls u gotta check this place out. This place is so cute and comfy. The massage therapist I had fixed every muscle pain I had and he is hot!

Great service, very friendly and skilled people, parking in back, and in beautiful downtown St. Charles. What more could you ask for at a decent price? Highly recommended.

Perhaps the disgruntled review above was serviced by one of the unlicensed people working at metro and that is why she had a bad experience. Maybe in the future you should ask to see the persons license before having their hair or nails done.

I have been to Metro 3 times now to get facials, I loved the atmosphere and the product they use, everything smelled great and felt great. I booked a big spa party with them in September and I can't wait for it to get here!

I went to this facility with expectations that i would be provided superior service compared to the "corner salons". I was HIGHLY disappointed. This facility left much to be desired, the staff was RUDE, and was completely INCOMPETENT in booking appointments. My french manicure looked like a child gave it to me and cost more than a new pair of shoes. My experience was absolutely horrible, i will never return, and they ruined what was supposed to be a special day.

I'd always had really great, easy hair. But as I began to gray, the texture changed and suddenly I was fighting with my hair every day - ugh! Several other highly-recommended stylists had been unable to create a cut that worked ... then I tried Metro and suddenly I barely have to touch my hair in the morning to look polished and professional.

I loved the results so much that I sent a work colleague there for color, cut and a whole new look. She was thrilled with both the results and the pricing. She sent her mom, who was also thrilled ... and the chain goes on.

I took my significant other in for a couples massage, which was also great. The only problem was that we were both so "melted" we could barely walk out of the place. I recommend Metro wholeheartedly!

I had read a newspaper article about this place and decided I needed a change. They are awesome here! They always listen to my ideas and make sure I completely understand before they cut. I am lways offered a cold drink, and the staff is so friendly. Check it out...it is a great place to relax and come out looking great!

I had heard about Metro The Salon from a friend's wife(who had REALLY good hair, by the way), and decided to try it out myself. I was not disappointed! For about $100(and I have long hair), I got an awesome new look-a haircut(layers), and trendy hair color(red, blond, and brown highlights and lowlights with dark brown on the bottom layer of my hair)! I brought in a picture of a very modern dye job that I wanted, and my stylish completely understood what I wanted(I had taken the same photograph other places, and they told me they could not do it) and did it perfectly. If you want a new look, I completely recommend Metro the Salon! The wait time was not bad either-I had an appointment, and only waited about 10 minutes(They take walk-ins too). Check it out!

PROS: inexpensive, fast, knowledgeable of trends
CONS: none
