I just want to say that I attended Mary Margaret's Day Care when I was a child, and I plead that you never take your kids to this devil of a woman, or anyone affiliated. I went to Mary Margaret's from the time I was 2-5 and I had so many terrible experience. I am now 23 years old and I regret never telling anyone how terrible this place was. I don't even know where to start...

- I was force fed tuna sandwiches, I didn't like them but they forced them into my mouth and forced me to swallow while tears rolled down my face.
- They would put terrifying shows on TV, while they aren't terrifying today witches and goblins, etc. weren't acceptable.
- Audrey and Ms. Harriet the two day care ladies that ran the show cursed like sailors, their Audrey's niece Shameen attended the day care on occasions and they spoke to her like she was their age, with no regards to any of us.
- Mary Margarets husband had a heart attack while I was there, and they saw no point calming us down or keeping the kids away from the action.
- I was spanked by Audrey and Ms. Harriet on numerous occassions. I suppose that was okay in 1991-94

However, the worst worst worst of all, and I wish I could go back in time and sue... But the worst of all of this was when Mary Margaret herself held a birthday party for her granddaughter and she bought her granddaughter a baby duckling, this little duckling was wondering around the yard... Well I got pushed and fell on the duckling. The duckling died.

Mary Margaret dragged me, a three year old, by my arm to the living room where we all played, picked me up by my shirt and crotch region, and threw me has hard as she could into the couch. Then proceeded to spank me until I didn't have any tears left.

Then she told me, if you tell your Mom you'll be in even bigger trouble. I never told until I was probably 15 or 16 and I saw Mary Margaret on the news for having cocaine in the children's beds.

This is not a place to take your kids. I don't care who the director is or who runs it. Learn from me, a child who actually went there. Things go on that your kids won't tell you, and you'll never see how they really treat them. Just trust me and go somewhere else.

My children have been attending Mary Margaret's on Union since they were all 6 weeks of age. I have experience some of the things these other people have wrote about. But ever since the old director Bonnie was fired a couple years ago, and the new director Lisa was hired this place is a different center! The staff has improved the place is a cleaner, my kids are actually learning, they love their teacher! My oldest is 6 now and I have a 4 year old and 2 year old. I was going to pull them out right before Bonnie was fired then when the Lisa was hired and became the new director I wanted to wait and see how she was before I did pull them and I'm so glad I stayed because I'm happy and so are my children! Mary Margaret's on Union is the BEST it has ever been!

Such a loving and caring staff, so much so that my child gets excited every morning on the way to drop him off. Actually i also have two friends that take their little ones there and i have never heard a complaint from either. I would recommend Mary Margaret to any and all!

Pros: loving

Cons: not enough locations

Many times I witnessed children in rooms alone, sometimes babies cried without being answered, sometimes the toddlers sitting alone in a room. This facility uses the TV a lot in the toddler room and school-age room. My child got addicted to TV because of this! My child also has frequent diaper rashes which my doctor and I suspect are due to not being changed enough. I have gotten my child from this facility with messy diapers on a few occasions. This place is not worth the money you pay! Do NOT send your child here!

I don't know what happened with the woman who pulled her child out after 4 days but, I have never experienced anything like that at Mary Margereat and my daughtere has been there since she was 8 wks old. The care providers have been there for years and are very loving and wonderful people. I too have popped in many times to breast feed when my child was younger ( she is now 2) and never saw anything like that woman described. I brought breastmilk in for my child every day and they handled it properly. She ate on demand and not on a schedule as the woman describes. It is a wonderful place and they treat my child with love and respect. It isn't the newest or flashiest day care as the building is old but, it is clean and more importantly the care givers care about the child. I give it a 5 star!!!!!

I have a 13 year old and a 10 year old. I have been a part of this center since 1995 when my daughter was 8 weeks old. We absolutely love it here. Many of the same teachers are still there from when we first began attending. The baby room not only attended to my children's needs, but to mine as well. Whenever I had questions or concerns about my children, they helped out immensly. I will say these ladies saved me numerous trips to the pediatricians office with their words of wisdom. Both of my children were well educated and actually exceeded in kindergarten because of the preschool setting they were in. My daughter was reading at four years old. I credit the caring and knowledgeable staff for this. Even as old as they are now, they love to go after school and the summer program is just phenominal. My daughter is allowed to volunteer now that she is over the age limit, and she loves it. For anyone to bash a business after just four days seems to have a personal problem. While I agree, maybe daycare isn't for everyone, this one is for me.

This center is horrible. I pulled my daughter out after 4 days. They feed the infants on a schedule rather than on demand. My 8 week old daughter was going almost 5 hours before her first feeding. I spoke with her teacher each morning about how I didn't think she was getting enough food because she wasn't having enough wet diapers. I told her that she needed to be fed more and more often. Nothing changed in their routine. My daughter became dehydrated and was almost hospitalized. This is just one of many issues I had. The day I pulled my daughter out I went in to breastfeed her and spy on them. I saw countless state violations. When I arrived she was asleep on her stomach on the play mat. I looked around and noticed that she didn?t have an assigned crib. Either they were letting her sleep on the mat, or on another child?s sheets. A boy that looked to be about 6 weeks old was in his car seat the whole time I was there. They were too cheap to put batteries in the swings. When I went back to pick up her belongings, I found they had only used one bottle all week and it was filthy and that her sheets had never been used. I asked all the questions my doctor recommended and thought we had found a good, affordable place for our daughter. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
