Lee Elementary School

Lee Expressive Arts School is a great concept and when there are great teachers who know what they are doing AND enjoy their work, the school works. However, the majority of the teachers there have been teaching too long and it shows. They quickly snap at the children, showing little or no tolerance or compassion that teachers once had. As a mother and someone who is very observant, I can tell when someone has been doing the same thing over and over and it is bothering them. People, these teachers, need to know when to move on to something else. Sure its great to have 3 months off every year, but at the childrens expense? I think not.
There are a few good teachers at Lee and a few new faces who have not been tarnished with long days, MAP tests and cranky children. Lets hope more good, kind hearted teachers begin to replace the tired ones.

PROS: Curriculum is planned around the arts
CONS: Teachers are too tired and cranky, stresses children out.
