Club Buca

I love club buca! it's my fave place, but it's closed...don't know why, or when they're going to re-open, but I've heard they're going to re-open sometime soon...

The staff is kinda a**hole-ish, there are a lot of freaky nasty folks, but if you're lookin for a place to get drunk, listen to loud music, and have a good time with your friends...this is the place to go. I've never had a bad night at buca.

a note of warning...most of the people there are looking to hook up, and there are a couple of perverts that hang out there every night, so just beware...stick to your friends and you'll have an awesome time :)

I was there Friday February 13th, 2009 while I was in town for a conference. Myself and 3 ladies, all between 21-23 had an awesome time. There was no cover and free draft beer until 11p. Waitresses were helpful and it wasn't hard to get a drink, even for a guy. We had an awesome time dancing to the good, modern music, and I was surprised to see a few girls dancing on the bar too which was fun. I may be going to another conference in St. Louis in 2010 and definitely plan on going back to Club Buca if I have time.

My friend ordered a drink from the bartender and was surprised at the small amount of alcohol. His comment was "is that all you put in there". The bartender snapped his finger and my friend was grabbed by the neck and literally drug out by the neck. He was literally THROWN into the street. This place is dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We had a bachelor party with over 50 people and it was witnessed by everyone. Needless to say, several in our group were young attorneys and this will be pursued legally. Beware, especially women going to this place without any guys with you. Skanky waitresses, weasel bartenders and bouncers who seem to get their jollies from hurting young professionals. I guess these non-educated trolls are jealous of anyone who has an education. Maybe those folks have been hit in the head too many times. Watch the news, more to come on this!

I have been to quite a few clubs around town and Buca is NOT one of my favorites. They play great music but it is always so crowded with a very young crowd, you can hardly move let alone get your dance on! It is kind of trashy and be prepared to leave with gross stuff stuck to your shoes and feet if you have open toe shoes. Stuff gets spilled and splashed on to you when on the dance floor.
I do not recommend this place if you are actually wanting to have a good time.

the staff were not much fun they're very "what do you want, go away"
the basement part or the more dancing part sucks, i mean in know it's st louis and it's in an ally but even i had high hopes that boca could not live up too.
crapy staff, odd/stupid "vip" booths, very shity dance mixes, and well, if ya need a whore, and you dont have the 2 thousand roses for the ones on craigs list, then go to boca, just dont drink any thing there, 8 bucks for one beer

Myself and 3 other guys went with my girlfriend, and one of her friends (girl). We are all in our mid-late 20s. We only were in the basement part of the club. I walked in with the 2 girls, we got in free and each of us got a free drink. The other 3 guys had to pay $5 admission each.
We were there Saturday Sept. 30, 2006. Bottles of beer and mixers were $2 each. We were there all night, as there was no reason to leave.

I would definitely go back.

I know that it is a bar scene but the people who go and some that work here are really trashy. I am not sure what the cover charge is (my friend works there) and beer is close to $5.00 a piece. I went here with my boyfriend and we were standing together holding hands and this waitress came up to him and gave him her phone number right infront of me, what a hooch. It is also really crowded and more like a place to meet the prostitutes that come from Washington Blvd. than a night club to dance and drink.
