Rothman Furniture Stores Inc

Every experience with Rothman's has been bad. We went on a Tuesday and the store was dead, but 4 of the employees were standing outside the front door smoking as we came in. I had been there a couple of times and knew what I wanted, but each time I came in, we never had a salesperson approach us...as opposed to Weekends Only where you get bombarded. So at first I thought it was nice...until I wanted to purchase something and I had to search the store for an available salesperson. I bought a living room set with ottoman, a dining table and a dresser from the outlet, spending $3100. The warehouse was out of the living room set so I had to wait several weeks. When finally delivered, they give me a box for the dining room set...they don't even put it together. Within 2 months the couch was sinking in as if it was very cheaply made. I got so much runaround on trying to return it that I just kept it. Two years later, the couch was so sunk in that I gave it away and bought new furniture. In addition, two months after I bought the dining set, Big Lots had the same exact set for $100 cheaper. If your looking for quality furniture don't go to Rothman's.

My husband and I purchased a sofa/loveseat/ottoman set from Rothman that the salesperson highly recommended. The set was extremely poor quality and cushons were sagging significantly in less than 6 months. The service department has been a headache and very difficult to deal with. We are completely disgusted with Rothman's customer service and products. We have several friends who have also had poor experiences with this company in the Saint Louis area.

My husband and I stopped in to check out king ma tresses.. Found one we had questions about, asked for help, was told they were busy waiting on other customers and would be with us when they were finished. Saw sales people walking out of the store to smoke cigarettes. No way! WILL NEVER GO BACk! .Since when is smoking a cigarette more important than a customer willing to spend several thousand dollars. APPALLED

I find that the furninture at Rothman is great if you plan on changing furniture every couple of years. The quality is not as good as other furniture stores, but the price cannot be beat. For us, it is worth spending less on some items (such as our playroom couch - because our kids would destroy it anyway) and deal with the lesser quality. Overall, friendly staff, not too pushy.

We have purchased bedding and children's furniture from Rothman's and have been very please with the low-pressure service and nice selection. If you see something you like, they WILL NEGOTIATE the price. Ask for "Z" - she is a great salesperson.

We went here to purchase our livingroom furniture and were very pleased with the selection and staff. They allowed us to browse but were available for questions when we had them. The furniture was priced a little less then some of the other stores we had looked at. Glad we stopped in.
