I have been to this winery twice, once 2 yrs. ago. The first time; I arrived there a few minutes before closing--there were only 2 of us and they would not allow us to taste any of the wines, "We are closed..."\r

The views from the deck at Oak Glenn are unparalleled. The wine was a real disappointment. We did not taste anything from the sweeter/more traditional Missouri wine list, but everything on the dry wine list was mediocre to horrible. Almost like wine that has been open too long and turned to vinegar (but not possible at a tasting room in October, right?) We had already paid a cover charge to enter, so we stayed to enjoy the beautiful views. Much better wine at Stone Hill or (especially) Bommarito.

While you are in Hermann you might as well take in as many wineries as possible. Oak Glenn is not as well known as others, but is an excellent winery in a beautiful setting.

This is a wonderful winery. The setting is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the entertainment is always good to listen or dance to while enjoying the great wines that Oakglenn makes.

Message from OakGlenn Vineyards & Winery

In1997 the winery was named for the majestic oak tree that marked the driveway in honor of the owner, Glenn. The oak tree died a natural death in 2006. It has been preserved and now proudly displays the hand-carved OakGlenn nameplate residing at the wine pavilion. The winery is located 25 miles west of Washington, Missouri, two and a half miles east of Hermann just off of Highway 100.
