I have been reading about vehicle quotes. I understood that when a vehicle price is quoted there are many factors involved, such as advertising, employees commission, overhead expenses etc. This quote would also leave room for negotiation. When I inquired about a vehicle I asked if they would negotiate on the price. The response I got was "Don"t look a gift horse in the mouth" I was truly offended. I continued asking him about the mileage which was around 150,000. I thought well maybe this was a good price. After some research I found out the vehicle had 179,00 miles, and more research the vehicle ended up having 250,000 miles. This was deceiving enough. I also looked up the phrase "Don"t look a gift horse in the mouth" which stated when you receive a gift for FREE don't judge the quality of the gift. Thankfully my husband read the reviews from customers, they also experienced rudeness, and sorry to say bad vehicles. If I were you I would think twice about dealing with this dealer.

Pros: none

Cons: deceiving

I bought a truck here 2 months ago. It recently starting making this awful noise and shaking. Then, it stopped gaining speed and lost all power.
After taking it to the mechanic, they told me it was only running on 3 cylinders instead of 6. It needed an extensive amount of work done to repair it.
When I called to ask about Chouteau paying for any of it (since this is something that doesn't just happen quickly, it takes a while) the salesman told me "Once it leaves our lot, it's not our problem."
Don't buy anything here unless you want to be scammed.

Cons: Everything

I was recently involved in an accident that lead to my car being totaled out (I didn't have the best car, but she was a mid 90's toyota with low miles for her age and was getting me through). I have one year of school left, work and have a young child to care for - so I need a vehicle. After much searching, I found a car I was extremely interested in at this place of business so we went to view it.

First I asked the guy if this was the car that was listed for X-on the website (I only have my insurance money to work with). He tells me that "that can't be right" because the car was "too new for that price" (My fiance even heard him and another man mention that they just give the slips to some guy to type on the internet and he obviously always forgets to add in the 15% markup!!) - whatever though. When we started the car it made a horrible hiccup-noise and sounded like it took a lot to get it going, when we inquired about the issue all the man said was (in a very rude tone) "well it's a used car, what do you expect?" All the while, still trying to convince it it's not suppose to be for the price I saw it and that it would be more (why would you try to UP the price when you knew someone came in interested at THAT price?)

In either case, we left. I will not be returning though. The car wasn't even worth the cheap price I found it at, the man was extremely rude and very not helpful at all.
