Marc Salon

I have been there a few times and each time I go I feel like an outcast left in the corner to rot. I have seen multiple people there but the constant revolving staff over the past few years has had me wondering what's wrong...I guess I should have figured it out long before.

I have been a client of Patti's for years and highly recommend her and The Marc. I continue to go because the results are superior for the price I pay. In my experiences, the staff have been very professional and friendly. They do have a difficult time keeping the front desk staffed, so that may explain many of the complaints I see on here. Patti is great, very easy-going and has become a good friend to me. I also notice other stylists there are very hip and seem to really enjoy what they do. Check it out!

Unlike some of the other reviews, I thought the receptionist was very courteous and the price was on par with the other salons in Columbia. In fact, it was less expensive to have the same kind of highlights I had done in Marc Salon than in the last salon that I went to in Columbia (I think the other stylist charged much more for the length of my hair). My stylist at Marc Salon, Abby, was friendly, honest, and professional. My hair turned out great. Would recommend.

I was in the Marc recently and Abby who I think is a receptionist was up front being very unprofessional. I was sitting in the back with color on my hair and Abby was up front yelling and talking in a crazy voice imitating who knows what. I heard the F word as well as other cuss words. She was laughing and shrieking in that crazy voice as if no one else was there. Very unprofessional and disappointing. If I was the owner I would be very upset by this outburst.

I have been to two stylists, heather who is down right awful at everything is does, and Danny, he does an okay job, but he is always running fifteen minutes behind. Also they have no receptionist so when I schedule appointments, I am never sure if they have been made correctly. I went in on Saturday and someone had put me down with the wrong person, and Danny was booked, annoying. I would go to green meadows or kelani, they are professional, plus the marc doesnt even have an actual spa..LAME!

I've been a client of Stephanie's for years and the only time she talks about herself is when i ask her questions. She also asks about me and I really appreciate that in a stylist. She seems like a great mother and I think it's rude to say otherwise. I usually don't write on these things, but had to address this. Go to Steph-she's great!!!

I have been going to Patti for years and followed her to the Marc. I enjoy going there more than Green Meadows because of its friendly feel. Patti is great and I would recommend her to anyone. I have to agree with Cheryl that Stephanie's "chatter" brings the customer experience down a notch. She acts like she should be working in a cost cutters or some other type of place where "low rent" people would fit in more. In spite of her annoyance I still love the salon and would follow Patti anywhere.

Stephanie used to be my stylist....until I couldn't stand listening to her anymore. I was tired of hearing about how much weight she needs to lose, how she thinks that her poor daughter is fat, and her boyfriend drama. It became so obnoxious that now I switch between Patti and Anne and I have been very happy with them although I can still hear Stephanie jabbering away about her problems from across the salon. Just a critique that she may be scaring off clients by being so self absorbed and shallow regarding her boyfriend and daughter.

I completely disagree with Meggie H. I have always had wonderful experiences with the staff there, at the front desk and the stylists. I have had my hair cut by several different people and have always loved it and everyone has always been nothing but nice to me. The cuts are inexpensive compared to bigger cities (I'm from St. Louis). Cuts range 30-42 here. In St. Louis I have paid 50+ for same services. Overall, great job, great value! I would highly recommend them!

I think that the Marc Salon is completely over-priced for the services you get. The front desk staff is very VERY rude, except for the main receptionist Gina. The young girls that work the front desk are the same girls that cut hair in the back. I guess since the have no appt's because they do such a lousy job, that they double them up and have them answer the phone. Hopefully the Marc staff realizes the problems upfront and resolves them quickly. The Marc has potential, it just doesn't know customer service. If they expect you to pay a high dollar amount, you should get a high dollar service in return.

Very nice, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Has Aveda products, which are all natural and absolutely great. Offers a wide range of services, too, from hair to nails and waxings.

I have been going to The MArc for years.I actualy started there with someone and followed that person around and ended up back with someone else at The Marc. The Marc staff are professional and keep themselves updated with the most recent hair styles and products. The Marc sells Aveda products which are excellent for your hair. They greet you at the door and are friendly from start to finish!

PROS: Nice facility, great staff, nice atmosphere
