Unless you really need to be convenient to the two nearby medical facilities, there are much better choices available in the Springfield, Missouri area.

Located off of Route 60 in southern Springfield, next to Cox Hospital and the Hulston Cancer Center and just a short drive from the Battlefield Mall.

The room itself and bathroom were clean, although small and the lighting was a bit on the dim side. There were plenty of towels for the family.

When we walked around to the outside pool, it was green with algae - and obviously closed. I was disappointed and upset that the front desk never said anything about it to a family with three kids checking in.

The beds were not that comfortable. I think all of us - with the exception of my son who slept in his portable crib - tossed and turned for much of the night. My husband even tried the couch at one point but returned to the bed later on. About 1 AM other guests were coming in on one side of us. They were banging on their door and it sounded like they were knocking on ours. I could also hear them talking - probably the man who had checked us in at the front-desk was out there too because I distinctly heard "a family of four, I think..." probably talking about us - the people they were waking up!
The continental breakfast the next morning was not bad. The area in the lobby where it was set up was very small - fine when half the hotel is closed and you have few guests. Not so fine when the hotel is more crowded. There was a waffle station as well as bagels, muffins, toast, pastries, donuts, juice, coffee, and hot or cold cereals. Check out was smooth and the woman did apologize for the pool being closed.

PROS: convenient location, clean
CONS: pool out of service, small breakfast area, exterior entrances, noise issues
