Terrible staff, rude and pushy, way overpriced, and terrible meat and sauce. I do NOT recommend to anyone. Ba experience from people who never really complain about bbq.

Gates gets more and more expensive each year, but when you have friends and family in town, you can't help but go! THis location is centrally located just down from the Plaza area and is right next to the old original location. Their food is great I love the sauce.

While living in KC, Gates Bar BQ was my favorite place to get BBQ. Each sauce was full of flavor. The people at the counter greet you as soon as you walk in the door. The meats are smoked to perfection. My favorite thing to get here is the Pork on Bun with fries.
