We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Karen for many many years. When our 14 year old schnauzer died (she had diabetes and died quietly in her cage at home), Dr. Karen had been treating her for several years and that contributed to her living to be 14, old for a diabetic dog. They never charged us when we dropped off her body after she died. They were very compassionate. Dr. Karen has given us a correct diagnosis when we received an incorrect diagnosis from another vet for our current dog's leg, saving us a lot of emotional pain. She loves loves loves animals and we wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Dr. Karen & Dr. Pam are friendly, caring, and highly trained vets. My cats and I are very pleased with them. Veterinary care, like human medical care, has gone way up in expense This includes the supplies and continuing education for the practitioners. Noah's Ark may not be the least expensive, but for quality care I recommend them highly.

Totally agree with the person below. This vet only wants your money. I initially spoke to one of the tech on the phone to get my dog some vaccines, she told me the the first visit would be a total of $76, then I would have to bring her back 3 weeks later for another shot, which will be around $35. I was fine with that price so I took her in. As we were doing the paper work, I told the tech that I'm suspecting that my dog might be pregnant. She then brings the Dr. in, so I asked the Dr. if my dog was pregnant, she told me the only way to tell is "time". A dog's full term is 9 weeks, if she delivers by then, then she is pregnant, if not, then she isn't. (Duh who doesn't know that? I don't need a vet to tell me that.) So then she started placing her hand on my dog's stomach and tells me she "thinks" my dog is pregnant and pregnant dogs cannot get any vaccines. What kind of vet THINKS a dog is pregnant? I brought my dog in for a check up to know for sure if she is or isn't, not just a wild guess. After that, they made me paid a doctor's visit for seeing the vet for 5 minutes for her to take a wild guess that she thinks my dog is pregnant and denied giving her the shots, which I originally came in for. They are VERY sneaky. I ended up paying $100 for a $18 medicine and for a vet to say she thinks my dog is pregnant. I advise people to not go here or be VERY careful because these people are very sneaky and will try to get every penny out of you.

Did you know that if you need a generic antibiotic for your pet that humans also take, such as amoxicillian, that you could get a written prescription from the vet to go to Schnucks and get it for free? (I believe Wal-Mart, Target, Costco, and Sam??s Club has these generic prescription programs too). We didn??t know this until, Karen (one of the vet techs), was forced to let the cat out of the bag about it after my husband threw a fit about charging us more money after our 15 year old dog had surgery a few days ago to remove a tumor from her leg. They charged another $13 to take the staples out and rewrap her leg with a new bandage, which I was told by Megan, another vet tech, was suppose to be included as part of the surgery charges that we originally paid which was over $200. She also needed more amoxicillian at this time in case of infection, and they changed us another $32.00 for that. After my husband complained, she told us that we could return the amoxicillian and give us our money back for it and write us a script to go to Schnucks, but kept the money for rewrapping her leg. She said that if people want a written prescription they have to ask for it. Well how do you ask for it if you don??t know that certain drugs such as generic antibiotics can be filled for pets somewhere else cheaper or for free? That is what they are banking on, to keep you in the dark about these things to make you think that you have to buy the meds from them so that they can make a profit. We have been going to Noah??s Ark for four years with our three dogs, and the older dog is prone to urinary tract infections and chiefly lives on amoxicillian. During the time that we have taken her here, it has been very expensive with all the office visits, lab work, prescription food, and meds, and we have made it known to their staff that it is a financial load on us. We even joked about how we wish we could get the meds for our dog at one of the pharmacies that offer the free, $4, and $10 generic drugs for humans, such as Schnucks, however, they knowingly and intentionally never offered any assistance to help us save money so that we could give better care for our pets at another time. This vet office is sneaky and underhanded about this and we just want to make it known to others to be careful and smarter than we were if you want to save money on your pet??s meds. We don??t trust this vet office because they are only out to get your money any way they can, so we switched to a vet who is very open about writing prescriptions to go to other pharmacies other than paying their high prices at their pharmacy.

I first started going to Dr. Karen when my scottie was sick. It turned out she had bladder cancer. Dr. Karen and her staff took such good care of both of us. She told me what to expect and when the time came she stayed with me when I had to put her down. When my big dog needed surgery on her leg there were a couple of complications. Dr. Karen told me they may occur so I wasn't surprised. She treated her for the complications and her leg healed up in no time and she is fine. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. She's easy to talk to and is willing to answer any questions you have.

Noah's Ark has been my vet for 15 years. The staff are wonderful. I disagree that Dr. Karen isn't a people person. She is very friendly and explains different treatment options, cost, etc. She also let me know when my dogs were at a point that they were hurting, and she cried right along with me when she had to put them to sleep. And she was always nice to my kids when I brought them with me. I will never switch. She's the best.

I feel very confident taking my beloved cat to Noah's Ark. The Vet is great, the staff are great and we always get quality care & service. As one reviewer said...The Vet may not be a real "people" person but she is definately an "Animal" person & that is much more important to me!! This Vet knows what she is doing!!

I have been going here with ALL of our animals since it has opened up. The vet is so awesome with the animals & you can tell they really care about animals, by all of THEIR animals that are in house. I will never take my animals anywhere else.

I have two dogs that I take to Noah's Ark and I would never go any where else. The Vet's are so wonderful with my dogs, I have never see them put my dos on the table, they are always right down on the floor with them to make them more comfortable. Most of my friends have animals that are terrified of going to the Vet's office, but not mine!!! They think it is a really treat to see the their "New Friends". I can call this office with any questions and they are very helpful. I never have a problem having someone call me back or getting an appointment. Most of the time when i call they can get me in that very same day. I would recommend this office to anyone with a pet.

I had just taken the responsibility of owning my own dog after moving out of my parents home and was overwhelmed! The staff at Noah's Ark was more than happy to answer any of my questions and see me whenever I thought something was an "emergency"! They were quick to reassure me and guide. They are truly amazing people who share the same compassion and love for animals that I do. My entire family has gone to them forever and will continue to for as long as they are around. I grew up always having at least two pets but was concerd that I was too much of a worrier when I got my own. But thanks to Noah's Ark expertise and willing to help out in any way I have since rescued two more dogs! I feel the need to give them thanks because I and am finishing my bachelor's degree in the fall to become a veterinarian and was just accepted to graduate school to pursue it further. Going there is truly a great experience and their office always has a great atmosphere! They are one of a kind!

I have 2 cats with totally different personalities. One is happy to take a ride in the car, even if it is to go to the vet. The other, well, it involves planning, and extra staff at the vet. Noah's ark treats them both like their own pets! As for the person who wrote the review that "the vet thought they should spend thousands on their pet"... well, if you're not willing to treat your pet like a part of the family, even if caring for it gets expensive, then you don't need a pet! This vet is the best!!

This office has plenty of parking and a convenient location to those living in the Oakville area. The staff is friendly and they treat the animals very well. They offer convenient call ahead refills on my pet's prescription so I never have to wait for that when I go to pick it up.

Plenty of available hours for appointments and they care for the animals they treat!

While the staff at Noah's Ark was friendly, the vet that we saw was very abrassive. She assumed that we should spend thousands of dollars on our animal, even if we didn't have it. She didn't seem to like children either.
