It is a great lil animal practice and kennel! The vet lives on site, which is an added plus! the kennels are older, but clean. the animals are treated well, and come back home healthy and happy!
I have switched my vet! i now bring all my animals to Dr. Hudgins, at Countryside! I have three dogs, and a cat. I have never seen the Doctor overcharge, and I have not had any complaints! If you need vet services or boarding for your pets, I really recommend Countryside!

Only tip i can give is keep up the great work! They have clean kennels, excellant prices, and an onsite vet-and he is wonderful! If you board an animal there, they are kept clean, happy and given time out to move around. Very thoughtful

Although Dr. Hudgens was informative. I paid $38.00 for 60 pills of Phenobarbital that he called Phena-vet for my dog seizures. I thought I was being over changed but I was not sure so I paid him a fee of $95.00 total. Dr, Hudgens charged me $35.00 for the office visit I was ok with that, $22.00 for a antibiotic injection, and $38.00 for 60 pills. Now, I called around and the pills should have cost no more that .20 cents per pill for the low doses that my dog needed (1/4 gr). I will never go to this Dr. again or refer anyone to him. I can now see why know one was in his office on a sat morning!

I love Dr. Hudgens. He doesn't do a lot of tests because he believes that testing is hard on animals. The vet clinic I used to go to did all sorts of tests. I stayed there for years and paid their outrageous prices because I thought they knew what they were doing. I finally left when they did a complete blood profile on my cat. They couldn't decide if it was a kidney infection or a bladder infection. Dr. Hudgens listens to you and examines the animal and then makes his decision. I have four animals and I don't need micromanaging of their health. He also taught me how to properly take care of my dog Abby's ears. She has allergies and her ears used to get infected all the time. Now they hardly get infected becuase I know what I'm doing, and that saves me more money. The other clinic had me give her Atarax, an antihistamine, which costs $30 a month and isn't very effective. For years my dog Bella has been licking her urethra. The other vet told me it was an allergy to grass. They would pack her vagina with something to help heal her (costly) and more Atarax which didn't work. She would be fine for awhile and then it would start up again. The poor dog was so miserable. Dr. Hudgens taught me that she does that because her urine is too acidic and it burns when she pees. He gave me pills for the acidity and told me to put her on canned/dry food diet, instead of just dry. He said the canned food will keep her urine ph in balance so she doesn't burn and lick herself creating a sort of diaper rash effect. He also gave me ointment to heal her urethra. To me, Dr. Hudgens really is like a country vet.

I took my small long haired dog in for grooming. I made a same day appointment and they got me in. The price was reasonable and they did a good job. I'd go back if I still lived in the area.
