Ratings_icons Decent school....

Emily Y. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 528

This is a decent school; unfortunately, in working with the students over the last ten years, I have seen a steady decline in the quality of the students. I always attribute this to the staff, which may or may not be fair, but to me they are the most influential portion of the students' edcuation. Extracurricular opportunities are available here, but students do not seem as engaged as they once did. If trying to decide upon a district before moving here, I would encourage you to look elsewhere.

Oakville Sr High School is probably like most other public high schools. While some of the teachers there are excellent at their jobs, others are less then adequate. If your child is average or below average you should meet with your child's school counselor to make sure your child gets the attention they need. The counselors tend to only help the above average students. All the normal after school activities that you would expect are offered.
