We had to leave "Jerry" when we went out of town, so I looked at a number of kennels. I stopped in and felt comfortable with the gal on duty right away. She offered to show me the facilities and I was pleasantly suprized at the size of the runs. Also the place smelled really really clean.

The play yards are ok, but as my dog loves to run, I wished that they were a little larger, but the were sufficient. They said that I could bring his own food, bedding and toys. $17 per night with an extra charge for extra play time was a decent price.

When we came back, he was outside playing and he seemed happy and well cared for. They told me about a couple of dogs that he took too, and that he really seemed to enjoy himself...

Best kennel experience thus far - would definitely use again

The owner of Twin Rivers Kennel sent an email to my personal account on Thursday, June 23, 2011. In it she threatened my wife and I with legal action if we do not rescind our complaint to the BBB and take down our review on Google. Furthermore, according to Missouri law, it is in direct violation for a Veterinarian to discuss patient/animal confidential information with anyone outside of the owner(s). Nonetheless, the dogs have never had this disease in the past. My wife and I took the puppies to the vet two weeks after picking them up from this kennel due to the following: Open/bleeding and inflamed sores caused from Sarcoptic Mange do not surface until 2-4 weeks of infection due to the time it takes for the parasites to burrow into the skin. I have taken pictures of both the damaged faces and paws of the puppies as evidence of what occurred at Twin Rivers Kennel. Our puppies have not had any contact with any animal since their stay at the kennel nor months leading to the incident. On the complaint to the BBB as well as the Google review, I have stated only the facts and zero hearsay. It is clear that the owner of Twin Rivers Kennel just refuses to admit to her wrong doing and give respect to the situation of failure on her, and her business', account. We are still asking for a full refund of what was charged to us because of the unsatisfied service.

My puppies (Australian Shepherd mix, and Blue Heeler mix) were kenneled at Twin Rivers Kennel by my wife and I between the dates of May 27, 2011 and June 5, 2011.
Both puppies were taken to Vet Stop Animal Clinic on June 16, 2011 due to open, bleeding sores and excessive scratching of the facial area and paws area and loss of blood being inadvertently wiped on the living room carpet.
They were treated and prescribed medication in correspondence to these symptoms. No steroid shots were given by the doctor because Sarcoptic Mange parasites only inflame worse if treated for allergies as such. This was all described to us by the doctor.
Both dogs have never been taken to get groomed in the past year nor go for walks. There has been no animal contact between the dogs and any other animal outside of our residence aside from Twin Rivers Kennel in no less than 6 months. Within a 1 weeks time from veterinarian care and medication treatment, both dogs show signs of improvement. These are the facts. I will not be kenneling my dogs with them again.

i left my dogs at their new facility and couldn't be happier. Their runs are very spacious and they get to go out into very large play yards two times per day. What a great deal for the price. I can bring my own food and they dont charge me extra. The kennels are all indoors, heated and have ac. Music plays all the time. My dogs turned around and wanted to go back in. lol You can tell the girls there love dogs. Thumbs up on your new place!!!!!

We left our dog for a week here in August. As we were traveling out of state we didn't know exactly what time of day we would return but thought it would be close to the kennel's closing time. About 2 hrs before they closed they called us, inquired of our arrival time and offered to stay 30 minutes late if we were close. The fantastic customer service and the happy state of our dog when we picked him up makes Twin Rivers Kennels our kennel of choice.

I have two dogs that I board with Twin Rivers Kennel, the girls that work there are SO sweet, and my dogs love them. How often can you say my dogs love the kennel, they are more excited to stay with them then they are when its time to go home. The kennel always smells great and the dogs always smell and look clean after their baths when I come to pick them up. The girls know my dogs and myself with out an introduction, that makes me feel so welcomed its like I am leaving them with a friend or family member not a boarding kennel. It if you are ever worried about leaving your dog somewhere I would bring them to Twin Rivers Kennel.

We like to take a vacation once a year or so, and most of the time we take our dog with us. This time we were flying so we opted to leave our dog at Twin Rivers Kennel. At the time our dog just had surgery on her leg, and needed special care, the Kennel was very helpful in caring for our dog. And we checked the Kennel out before leaving our dog there, and it seemed rather homey. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I am in St Louis for work and unfortunately I cannot choose the hotel I am in, they have a no pet policy, but the Twin Rivers Kennel was nice enough to let me look through the facility and talk to the employees before I brought my pup by.
