I am pleased with this market. Very true to its name and cheap on certain items. I know my family loves to purchase their meat at this market because it looks so fresh and the prices cannot be denied. I really love how everything looks really good and from different parts of the world. It makes for great collections or a new exciting meal/shopping adventure. I love going here to buy anything and the staff is friendly.
i was struck by the wide variety of unfamiliar fresh (and frequently quite beautiful) vegetables: knobby bitter melons, elegantly curved squashes and tiny eggplants.a great varities of international fruits, vegetables and meats. Fine Imported products from around the World.as its name says it is a market of global foods.
A worldclass international foods grocery store in the site of the old National Grocery Store in Kirkwood. Literally- if you need an international food, you will not fail to find it at Global- every shopping trip can be an adventure, I personally like to try Ramen from different countries- its a cheap and easy taste thrill. Global stocks a great selection of foreign meats and cheeses alongside rare and hard to find produce. The store is clean, well lit, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Patronize Global foods and suppot variety.
The best place to get international canned foods and produce. Their prices are usually the same as Schnucks but somtimes cheaper. It isn't the cleanest and the Deli Counter eats food publicly while working. However, there is no place like it in St. Louis County. They carry the good international brands (like Mae Ploy). If you're looking for green, red, yellow, or paneang curry paste...this is the place to go. They carry Mae Ploy, which is what all of the greatest Thai Restaurants use in St. Louis. Their smoked salmon seems to be the lowest price in Missouri (Even lower than Sam's Club). They also carry very rare peppers ie. Ghost Peppers. I was in there the other day and the staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Especially when a customer asked them to wipe clean the conveyor belt...which was dirty as their floors. Regardless, I will be back. Hopefully they have a little employee training about customer service, or they fire the girls who do nothing but have catty attitudes towards customers.
