    The mobile installation staff I met recently was the WORST EVER. I had an appt. for two weeks and went in ahead of time to set everything up so when I arrived the night before my install (wireless start), everything would be done. Well, HAHA! What a joke. I had to give all the same info, was told I needed a particular receipt (had none - was a gift) and asked why this wasn't addressed when someone came in the first time. Anyway, when the young man wouldn't leave a note for the installer that I needed it by 5 PM and when I got there to get my car, the actual installer told me it would be another 45 mins. I said a phone call would have been nice, I left them TWO numbers to reach me. I said I wish I had never done this here, and the guy said, ""I can uninstall it in 45 mins."" AH- really?! I called my family - who purchased it as my gift, and they were upset I was thinking of un-installing; I had them continue. Bottom line, this was the worst customer service I've ever had. ""I can uninstall it."" Really?! Not, ""I'm sorry for the mix up."" Or, ""I'm sorry this is taking so long and that I didn't start on your car at your appt. time."" Instead I got an offer to uninstall it, and excuses about glicks (no kidding? I understand ish happens.) RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. DON'T DO IT!!!! Go somewhere else. I will NEVER do business with them again.

    theyalsowouldnt give measet of recoverydisks,geek squadsaidto makearecoverydisksoIwouldntlosemythingswhen I went tomake them. the disk drive scratched the hell out of the cds.and cuz the computers only let you makerec.disksonce it would not let me do it,and when best buy tried to make them, they saw it said some were made, and wouldn't make any.wheni hadthescratcheddisksont hecounter

    before i 4get i also paid $300xtra for a2yr warrenty.went backagain2 exchangeitforanevenmoreexpensive laptopbecause I was so tired of having to deal with all the B.S.and they said all I could do it send it to the HP head quaters to have them look at it and fix it, and that I COULD NOT GET AN EXCHANGE OR MONEY BACK until I sent it there THREE different times- which each time it would take 2-3 MONTHS to get it back!!

    i bought a laptop there for $1600. It didnt work properly from the time i bought it, so i returned it (and had to drive all the way out to wentzville because they didn't have any in stock) and got another of the same model. Computer STILL didn't work right, slow as hell, volume didn't work, freezing. Had to return it AGAIN, but all of the sudden NO bestbuys around the area carried the model anymore. Returned it. and had to take the display model, did NOT get the 10% off like they said i would because it was a display model (scratches and all, AND they didin't have the correct battery in it) problems persisted (all of the same symptoms)

    Purchased a XBox 360 Pro for my son there on 12/8/07 and paid $59.99 for "replacement" contract on it. With all accessories purchased at that time and a couple weeks later, spent well over $1,000. Counsol quit working week of 12/1/08. Carried it into the store with original box, wires, etc. Counter person refused to honor replacement, so I asked to speak to the manager. Manager was a real AXX.

    Told my wife and I we purchased a service plan not a replacement plan. Wouldn't replace--but offered to send to Microsoft for us and it would take 2-3 weeks to replace. Told the manager I wanted to talk to his boss. He said to call corp #. So I did, while standing there. Person at corp HQ was nice and first, ended up telling store manager we DID have replacement plan.

    Manager then told HQ person that he couldn't honor it because we didn't have all the original items in the box. This was the two 'free' games that came with it. I told them we never played those CHEAP free games, had no idea where they were, and we didn't need to replace those games--just the console we paid $350 for and paid $60 for replacement warranty. They refused to do so.

    When the Mgr told the guy on the phone we didn't have the two games, he looked at my wife and I and just smiled--like you lost! I Won!!!

    Best offer they would make was to send us a mailing label, us to send to Microsoft, when microsoft confirmed receipt, Best Buy would send us a gift certificate to purchase a new Xbox (I'm sure they wouldn't have sent the $350 plus $60 to put new replacement contract on.

    Manager actually laughed at us.

    We told them this was about the principal of doing the right thing and they had lost good customers. (When I got home, I check bank statements... We spent over $2900 at this Best Buy in recent history).

    Since the unit didn't work, and they refused to honor the warranty I told them where to put it and that I would take my business to the competition and buy a new one than deal with them, or ever shop there again.

    And we did, stopped at the competition and bought a new one for $20 less than Best Buy was advertising.

    They should be sued for breach of contract!!!

    I cannot stand to go to Best Buy. The staff is rude and not generally very helpful. The store is always crowded and it is difficult to get any assistance.

    I go there for their great deals-but what sucks is, they are always out of what I want to buy! This has happenned on my last three visits! If it wasn't for their super-friendly employees, I probably would have given up on shopping there!
