Sunkiss Tan

It's apparent that Joy Orlando wrote the review about herself being a wonderful person. Get a clue "Cassie" ! Joy is a horrible old witch and something is definitely wrong with her. You have to have an evil heart to behave that way towards paying customers. Every time I came to tan, she was DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE, and I never did a thing to her. I always made and KEPT my appointments. I finally had enough of her horrible behavior and quit long before Signature Tan took over. Signature has it's faults, but at least I get a smile when I come through the door. That's more than I ever got from Joy Orlando. What comes around goes around!

Ok you want to know about Signature Tan well here it is from the inside. I was pulled into this salon by a much bigger more recognizable name from St Louis. Im sure we all know what that is. I was offered great pay and benefits. Befor ei even started the owner and manager asked me everything about what was needed and what they could change. Asked me about promoting the salon ect... After giving up a great job for a great company I was fired with no explanation in the middle of my shift on my SECOND day. Lets look at what I had to deal with in my day and a half. First day I recieve a letter from the attorney general concerning bad business tactics from CLint. The second day I have parents coem in absolutely steaming because their daughter was recieving letters from Collection Agencies because her acct was over due. The girl was asked to sign a contract while she was only 17. Thats illegal in all states. Once again Clint was behind it. Not to mention I have worked for several major franchises and never has a collection agency been used. Who does that its tanning and a young girl. This company pretends to thrive on great service, but thats as long as your buying buying buying. As soon as you refuse a sale you will get talked about and called cheap. Oh and dont let the big beds full you They have the same bulbs as the level ones. No IM not a bitter ex employee I would swear on my mother to this. I have seen it and hoped to fix these things and help it grow the way they told me they wanted to, but they really just used me to get new ideas and then fired me with no regard. Thank You signature tan I will go back to my former employer and now put you out of business. Oh and not one employee there is certified by smart tan. Clint admitted today that he only scored a 85% of the 90 needed ot pass smart tan. Way to go buddy a chimpanzee could pass that test. Next time dont screw people over that know the industry as well as I do.

First of all, Joy Orlando is a wonderful person. I worked for Sunkiss tan and she is QUALIFIED, DIGNIFIED a wonderful caring person. My name is Cassie and I loved working at Sunkiss, the new owners are being incredibly immature acting like customers on here and smearing her good name which she worked very hard for. When it comes to customer service she is top-notch!! I know she had many customers who always came in every day, they loved Joy & Joe. If you knew them personally or just from coming in to tan you would be able to say the same, some sleaze ball comes in and starts saying all of these horrible untruths. Shows how mature he is right? Hardly, find a better place to tan. Pacific Beach, HT Tanning, even the TAN CO. would be better than this place. Customer service is clearly not their top priority otherwise they would be more concerned with keeping a good if not neutral relationship with Joy, seeing as she has pull with all of their customers because of the GREAT relationship she had with him. Here is to hoping they run all of those customers out of their own salon and on to bigger and better salons who are more concerned with their business and not ruining or tarnishing the name of a good woman who has worked hard her whole life and one of her biggest loves in life were those salons! Oh by the way "CLINT" or whoever you are, are we really going to go so low as to say she is old? How old are you honestly? Grow up and get a clue, this is NOT how you run a business. Customer service should always be top priority, your clients are not going to want to tan at your salon when all your doing is discrediting others, you do not look professional, you look like a child. Clint the Manager is no better than the previous management!! He scammed my friend and myself out of our money and refused to give a full refund. I am taking legal action. Use this salon at your own RISK!!! I hope you take me serious and will seek other decent tanning salons and don't have to go through the same crap the my friend and I have. I wouldn't give this salon 1 star unfortunately the system doesn't allow me to give a negative star!

Boy did it make my day when I heard that Sunkiss Tan was under new ownership. Joy Orlando was the worst business owner ever! What a complete waste of a human being. Rude, unqualified, undignified, disrespectful, and totally oblivious to the fact that the customers PAY for a service. Who knows how many customers they lost. My only hope is that the new ownership lives up to their promises. So far, I got better treatment by how Signature Tan answered their phone than I ever received from the dispicable Joy Orlando and her sister. They were a JOKE. I will give the new owners a chance. So welcome Signature Tan. Hope your business succeeds. To the Orlando's....good riddence!

New, new, new. This isn't the salon my friends and I had all joked about in the past. New ownership has brought a wealth of new and knowledgeable employees. The salon has been remodeled. The product lines are all new. And they have a VersaSpa UV free tanner on the way. Me and two buddies have joined to save money over the other one we were using.

A definate improvement with the "Signature Service" that they promote.

I've been coming to this salon occasionally over the years, and the women have always been unfriendly...but I was completely DISGUSTED at their attitude recently when I requested a new bed since mine had burnt out bulbs. The owner literally yelled at me...she was so rude I actually jumped at one point I was so surprised by her reaction. I think all the tanning has turned her heart to leather...she seems like a miserable woman. They've lost a customer and with all the larger chains in St. Louis now, they can't afford to treat their customers this way...try The Tan Company instead if you're looking for a place in the area, or Hollywood Tan...they're very nice and helpful.

I too think they are very rude. I love the place for it's cleanliness and good beds, but both women are short-tempered and rude on the phone and in person. There are plenty of other places where I feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer, and it was their rudeness that led me to discover them.

I have been a customer of Sunkiss Tan for 11+ years. I had frequented tan salons many times before I went to Sunkiss. The other tanning beds and overall salon upkeep was undesirable. The beds were dirty, broken bulbs, broken Plexiglas (you lay on this!), stained Plexiglas, used paper towels and debris were on the floors of the restroom and/or tan bed rooms. Sunkiss Tan is immaculately clean. The beds are well-maintained, the floor throughout the salon is consistently clean, the restroom is always spotless, the linens in the tan rooms are always clean and plush. The owners, Joy and Joe Orlando take pride in their business and value their customers. They are considerate and the most caring, giving and kind-hearted people I know. If you haven't been to Sunkiss Tan...you should. It is the BEST tan salon in St. Louis!

The owner Joy Orlando needs to retire from this business she is very unfriendly and treats people in her salon like the help. I am afraid to buy any more tans there because the last time I called to make a appointment she nearly chewed my head off! here I am patronizing this place and this is how I get treated?? I have witnessed this lady getting rude with her staff in front of customers and I thought well maybe she's just having a bad day but every time I go in there she is out of control. I would never refer this place to anyone!!!!

Sunkiss Tan is the best tanning salon I have ever been in. it is the cleanest and the most beautiful salon and you are made to feel at home with the friendly service. Overall, the best beds, the best prices ant the best salon ever.i highly recommend this salon if you want the best tan possible.

I walked in with a friend. The lady at the desk said nothing. We asked if we could tan. She asked if we were new to the salon. We said we were and would like to see the beds they had to choose from. She thought that idea was crazy and got super defensive and started yelling. She then said she would not let us tan at her salon and that we should leave. This was NUTS! It was like saying I want your money but you cannot see what you'll be paying for. The one bed we saw was pretty crappy anyway and 10 or 15 dollars for a tan in a bed you don't get to see is never going to get customers. I hope this place fails. The lady there was very rude and the salon seemed to be from the 1970's. It was all very odd.
