Ratings_icons Salon Oasis & Day Spa is AMAZING!

amanda r.

Over the last 5-6 years I have been a frequent guest to the salon and spa.

I have fine, frizzy strawberry blonde hair which is not the easiest to find a stylist with the skills to both cut - so the my head is not host to a pyramid shaped mess, and color - without making my hair orange or purple. Angela does a beautiful job. She is also an excellent listener - she takes the time to consult with me everytime I visit, what do I want today? what events do I have coming up? - this allowsme to just sit in the chair and give her full reign, which is a true sign of a relaxed atmosphere. Knowing and trusting that your hair stylist has the skills, education, and comfort level to provide you with a fabulous cut and color is priceless - or well worth the fee.

Over the years, Angela has been a mentor for several other stylists all of which I would gladly go to if Angela is unavailable, because they are held to such exceptional standards at the salon.

As for the Spa services, Shawne is amazing - she knows my skin and is exceptional at putting my mind at ease so I can truly enjoy the spa experience. The calming music, fresh water &/or tea, the private rooms, all aspects of the salon make for a memorable experience that one would like to repeat as often as possible.

Whenever, I overhear someone ask for a salon or spa service in the Northland I always point them to Salon Oasis and they often go out of their way to thank me for the referral.

I've been here for a pedicure and a prenatal massage and had good experiences both times. Don't judge from the outside, the inside is very nice and it is huge. Everyone was very nice and took great care of me!

Ratings_icons Without a doubt It's the best salon I've ever been to

ChrissyK25

As soon as I walked through the door I was asked if I would like anything to drink. The decor is beautiful, and everone smiled at me as they walked by. I enjoyed my massage tremendously, I had never had hot towels used before during a massage. My hair was perfect, I loved the stylist, she gave me a head massage during the shampoo! I left feeling better than when I came in...they made my day!!

Pros: Customer service, experienced workers, amazing ambiance

Cons: that I am not rich and can't get a massage every week

Ratings_icons Great salon.

This place is exceptional. I've never had any issues with the place or the staff. The staff especially takes pride in what they do, and to help you feel very comfortable. They will never let you down. I have had great experiences with Amy (Massage Therapist) and a few girls that do hair. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. End of story.

Pros: Great workers!

Cons: Prices/ No specials

Ratings_icons incredible salon

redbook

I am an avid spa goer and when i moved to Kc I tried several salons until a friend suggested Salon Oasis and I wont go anywhere else. My first service there was a deep tissue massage by Amy..... INCREDIBLE. She impressed me from the start. Very professional and gave me one of the best massages i've ever received. I then needed my hair done and as many of you know, finding a new hairdresser is like finding a dr. I went to Serena and she suggested a few things i never thought of and gave me the best haircut and highlights i've ever had. The stylists have their own private rooms and i didn't feel like everyone was starring at me. The salon is a very classy sanctuary and is very relaxing. If you haven't tried this salon/spa, you owe it to yourself to give it a try. The only con was it is very busy. The two girls at the desk were very busy and i had to wait a little bit.. But it was worth the wait.

Pros: Great customer service..beautiful place

Cons: very busy and sometimes hard to get in.

Ratings_icons Would not recommend ever

This was the worst experience I have had at a salon. I scheduled two appointments for myself & my friend, a new mom. I called ahead & and asked for a private room, I was told that there was a room with two pedicure chairs & that it would no problem if my friend brought her six week old baby. I called the day of our appts and made sure again that it was okay that we bring the baby & they assured me that it was fine because we would be in a private room. My friend and I came in for our appt, were given dirty looks from the receptionist & then had to wait ten minutes before they came & got us. While we were waiting a mom with a four year old was taken back for a pedicure. When they finally came to get us they pulled us in a little room because we had a baby with us. They very rudely told us that if the baby made any noise at all that they would stop our pedicures right away & we would be asked to leave. I told them that I had called ahead & asked for the private room & had made sure that bringng the baby was okay. They said that didn't matter & repeated that we would have to leave if the baby made any noise at all because "the walls are very thin." The two girls obviously didn't feel like working that afternoon. I was very offended at how we were treated & will never go back. I also find it very curious that a four year old is okay but a sleeping infant was not. It was very embarrassing because this was a gift for my friend, the new mom, great experience... lol

Pros: none

Cons: overly rude staff

I LOOK LIKE I HAVE TIGER STRIPES. I WANTED BLOND HI-LITES W/DARK BROWN LO-LITES-I GOT A BRASSY YELLOWISH-GOLD W/ NO LO-LITES AND DAMAGED HAIR TO BOOT! I WAS THERE FOR 3 HOURS!!!!!! I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO MAKE THE ROAD TRIP TO LEAWOOD.KS TO MARIO TRICOCCI-I ALWAYS GOT WHAT I WANTED AND LOOKED LIKE A MILLION BUCKS WHEN I LEFT THERE!

Pros: NICE ATMOSPHERE

Cons: DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR HAIR!

Ratings_icons Needs Improvement!

I had the Tea for Toes and it wasn't relaxing at all. The massage chair was extremely loud and did not massage very well. My foot massage was very light, sometime I wasn't sure she was doing anything. In fact there was very long moments where she wasn't doing anything at all. There was no relaxing music piped in. It was a waste of $50.

Pros: none

Cons: Staff needs more experience or training!

Ratings_icons Good place

fansup

I think its a great place to go for a good experiences once you get past the front desk,I think thats alittle tricky you will either draw one very pleasnt or you will wish you weren't there.I get my hair done and have for years i think its a bit pricey for a cut and color but i pay it so why not charge it if people will pay and if you have ever been there its always busy.

Pros: i like my stylists,

Cons: its pricey

Ratings_icons Avoid this spa

Recently had multiple spa services there and the estheticians seem to be very under educated on services and products. I understand most of their estheticians are just fresh out of school with not much experience at all. My esthetician talked all the way thorough the service as well as talking about her sick husband, my service was not enjoyable at alll. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: no professionalism

Ratings_icons Horrible customer service

tmcastro

We will never go there again. We purchased a package for new customers and they would not honor our packages. I gave it as a gift to a family member and the embarrassment of them saying they stopped honoring the card. I even spoke with the manager directly and she said to have my family member call and set up the appts and they would honor the card so we called back and then they put stipulations on when we could use it only during 8-5 hours monday thru friday, which means the person we gave it to would have to take a vacation day from work just to go in for the service! These stipulations were NOT part of the package or listed anywhere on the package. The manager said that the girls were not making enough money from this promotion that they agreed to endorse. Several friends and family have gone there however none of us will be return customers. Very poor service.

Pros: None

Cons: Poor customer service, we were not able to schedule an appointment!

Ratings_icons Only choice in Liberty

buttertan

It can get a little noisey and you don't have your time when you are getting your hair done. With Crying kids, people always walking by looking at you with foil in your hair. Dryers are to close to the front of the store. Everyone can see you with dye on your hair, not private.
Too pricey for Liberty and what you get.

Cons: Noisey

This is a small spa that offers few services and very little ambiance. Very noisy because of the hair and the outside traffic. Services are subpar. You'll you better at another Spa if you want something more relaxing and beneficial.

Cons: Very Small, Loud Outdoor Traffic
