Waldo Pets

My husband and I just recently put in a pond and went elsewhere to buy fish and pond plants. The other store made us buy unnecessary items (expensive items) and let us buy koi fish when we told them what gallon size pond we put in. Koi have to have a pretty big pond in order to have enough room to live and our 170 gallon pond is definitely NOT big enough.We were told you go to Waldo's Pets because they "know everything about ponds", and they DO! They were sooo helpful and now our pond is in the condition it should be in, all thanks to Waldo's! They even let us bring in those koi fish that we bought from the "other guys" and traded them for a number of goldfish! That's customer service!!

Sadly, this place continues to struggle. It use to be a great store a few years ago. Now....Belton has a decent one called Paws And Friends. Much cleaner, good small business and the staff can actually be seen.

I chose Waldo Pets over a more conveniant chain store because I come from a family business background. When I bring my business to a local company, I expect to pay a little more in exchange for quality service and customer care. It's really a shame that Waldo Pets is unable to provide either. The staff was absent at best, the inventory abysmal, and though I purchased a simple fish bowl and supplies at a startling $21.00, the fish were not in stock. Three visits later, the fish are still not in. I am so disappointed in this store that I'd rather buy from even Walmart. They may be a bully corporate monopoly, but at at least you know they'll have what you want in stock for 40% of the cost.

My children LOVE this pet store! They have every kind of pet you can imagine! Our favorite part is watching the sharks in the shark tank and feeding the fish. The puppies are fun to watch and talking to the birds is always a blast. It's well worth the trip into town for us. It's fun to make an afternoon of going to visit this pet store! They also have a huge variety of pet supplies! Bring your dog along...they don't mind!!!
