This is a wonderful show. Great for all ages (although some parts may scare younger kids) I really enjoyed the story, which made me buy the book, and the theater is beautiful. Hearing frogs and crickets out in the trees while the play is going on just adds to the atmosphere. A definate for anyone visiting Branson

It's truly the most perfect show for all ages.Admission includes the show, a guided tour of the historic homestead, a wagon ride, entrance to the Harold Bell Wright Museum and Inspiration Tower, and dinner. We went with my family . i loved the horse ride and the show and everything. The amphitheater is built on the actual site where Wright lived as he penned this Ozarkian epic of triumph, tragedy and love. The actors were realistic in their roles. The play was memorable to say the least. I will go again given the opportunity. Definitely plan on being there early enough for the frog races, and the tour really helps explain the history behind the show.It was a wonderful experience.

the shepherd of the hills is probably the best show in branson that i have seen. the play has been done in the ozarks for years and years, and if you have never seen it, you need to--it is a good representation of the way the ozarks used to be, and the performances are always top-notch. also, it's outside of mainstream branson, in a more wooded environment.
