Terrible customer service! I have been with Town and Country Disposal service for years. In November we were approached, as were many of our neighbors, to try Deffenbaugh. The rate was better and the recycle container is huge so we decided to try it. On Dec 11th I called T & C. The rep was very nice, new of the promotion from Deffenbaugh in our area. She did her job, tried to convince me to stay with their services. I declined. They charged me for my service in Jan. I called today to ask for a credit. They could see where I had called in Dec but the account was in my husbands name so I could not "officially" cancel the service! No call back explaining this to me, no letter notifying me. I put my husband on the line. They cancelled my service but did not give me credit for January! Augh, even if I didn't like my new trash service I would never go back to Town and Country. What terrible customer service!

They've skipped picking up our trash multiple times and I've had to call. DON'T CHOOSE THIS SERVICE!! CONSTABLE SANITATION and DEFFENBAUGH are both MUCH better services.

If you think customer service stinks, try working there.
I worked there for awhile until I could stand the incompetence and lying no more, Nick (supervisor) busted doing meth. Still employed.
Brian Moore(super) unprofessional womanizing silver tounge devil. You'll get nowhere with him. The crews will fistfight up to and including brawls w/ JR Pesek (owner) and the other supervisors.
The worst medical insurance, poor pay, and lies lies lies.
Half the co. are convicts, the other half haven't been caught yet.
I have never worked for a more ridiculous co. in my life.
The secret to good service is leaving something "special" for the crew.
Anyone with some business sense and a little money could take over this company easy.
The only other way to rid the KC metro of this backwoods business is change your trash company.

Hello, I have had service with this company forever.... 1993
Went through all the take over??s... and buy outs..

I have Never had an issue..

I have fallen victim to the economy and I am forced to be misplaced to a different location as my primary residence is being foreclosed upon. As I am a yearly payer, I called to have billing switched to monthly as well as initiate a new service at my soon to be new primary residence.

I thought everything was specifically set as an action plan. I have yet to receive my new trash container at the new residence nor have I had continual pick up service at my current.

I am very upset. My husband has received two monthly bills in Jan and Feb for over 56.00 each .... My whole years cost over the last 20 years has not exceeded 220.00. As I am very disappointed in our efforts to change service and what has transpired, I am not giving up hope.

I have been unsuccessful in contacting the customer service department. I hope with a little more due diligence on my part, I will be able to resolve this miss-communication without a hick-up.

I know my instructions were clear on the plan of action... I am hoping I had a new representative that didn't communicate my intent the same way in the computer.

High Hopes, I will let everyone know how this company stands by their reputation.... I am sure it will be a Win / Win

No manners and ineffective supervisors is what this company is full of. I don't find it very convenient that this company works holidays, it's unconstitutional!!

I work for one of the local companies here in the KC Metro area, I have first hand watched Town and Country go through town and FORCE many companies (companies that like their job which is not just trash pick up but THE CUSTOMERS THEMSELVES-CUSTOMER SERVICE) out by going to the town hall and bypassing each and every person which is you the-- CUSTOMER-- They take this Mid America Regency Counsel with them and barter with the city halls and dictate to them what they are going to do and usually get it. As you can tell once your city hall signs on the line you are the ONES who pay for it now you are just a number not a customer for the duration of the contract that is and always will be the way Town and Country sees it. The sad thing is you can take a stand LET it be your CHOICE if you desire T&C then it should be your choice not anyone else. These idiots pick my trash up when they decide that my One bag isn't to heavy or when they follow the route sheet, which isn't hard at all to do, I would give anything to have Defenbaugh back and they didn't seem to great of a service back then. Good luck with teir customer service they like to call you a LIAR.

It's sad to see so many negative comments on such a superb company. They work on holidays so it does not disrupt trash pick up dates. The guys are hard working, yes they make mistakes but so does everyone else in the world! It's just your trash! Get over it!!!

no stars.... Customer rep Wendy was very nice but says she was not allowed to provide the supervisor's name. They had left 5 leaf bags at the curb because they do not pick up leaves after Nov.30. In an interview when they first took over from Summit Disposal, they told me they would pick up no more than 5 bags after that they would have to charge me. I thought, fair enough.

They referred me to another company (who I called in Grandview) who will pick up yard waste for $125/year. Or I can take it to the dump myself.

These people are worthless!!! I have been trying to get a replacement trash can that they broke for 8 months. I was told by the perk moron that I would have to speak to a supervisor to get another trash can. Every month I leave the same message. I wish they would go crawl under a rock!!!

It was a pleasure talking to you. Please in future when you call me, remember to take a "business etiquette class". I can pay for it if you want. I am paying for your rude customer service anyway and wouldnt mind paying for your etiquette class either.

I called your customer service monday morning to inform you I have a bulky item. The lady who I spoke to told me, "they will knock on your door for the check, IF YOU STEP OUT, please leave the check pasted on the door ElSE they will knock and ask for it. The people came at 2 p.m Monday and I was at home and saw them taking the green trash can but did NOT hear anyone knock or rather nobody knocked. I was AT HOME.

The manager Brian(Bryan) calls me a liar and tells me " i dont care where you were in your house. If my driver says he knocked, i believe him. you need to call on thursday or friday for a bulky item pickup next time. " He wouldnt let me talk and outright hung up on me. When i asked him what is their policy he tells me, "we wont pick it up until next monday and how many houses had a couch in your community? (screaming), we cannot miss your house. you did not give us the money so we left and we believe our employee"

The customer service lady whom i talked to told me this "The driver says he knocked and we believe him".

So i asked her if she was on the truck assisting to pick up trash as well and pat comes the reply again " we believe our employee". Bryan has no manners as to how to talk to a woman. He raises his voice, screams and demeans them.

Would really appreciate the lady telling me "paste the check on the door irrespective of you being at home or not". To make it worse, they ask me what I do at my home?

I am talking to my subdivision decision makers this week and asking them to get another service. Question I have for this disposal company is: why do you have a customer service when you and your employees are always right. You should save a lot of money not having customer service at all!.

I do not want to speak to this trash company or these trashy people who work for this trash company. Enough humiliation. I am done with ths company.

I love T&c Disposal! It is great, they work through the holidays and I don't have to worrry about changing or missing my day! Their curbside recycling is great...just for the fact they take all plastic numbers 1 through 7 is a big plus for me. Have never had a problem with service, once they missed my trash pickup; I called and they were very nice on the phone and were out first thing the next morning to pick it up.

I've had this service for 6 months, price for service not great, customer service (office help) horrible; my trash was left, called; the explanation: "Your neighbor said you gave her permission to put her trash with yours, she is not an account with us" .I did not giver permission, don't even know my neighbor, was told I needed to talk to her & tell her not to put her trash with mine.
Twice I've requested a call from a supervisor, big shock no call. The office claims he called, caller ID doesn't lie, no call from anyone.
If I can get my money back, I'm cancelling service; 1 bag of trash a week I set out, charged $50.25 per quarter.
Strongly recommend not using this company

I was a customer of Summit Disposal for nearly 5 years. Ever since Town and Cuontry took over, everything has gone totally down hill!! I've been requesting a new cart for over a month because the drivers have completely crushed the one I have. It's been broken for months and when they finally tore the front off of it, we began to request a new cart. 6 weeks later, we still have the same cart with the huge hole in it. They're customer service is awful. We've called and left messages requesting a call back and we've never heard from anyone. It's very disheartening to change service after nearly 5 years, but that's what I have to do just to get a curbside cart!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!! The Shanna, in the "customer service" department, must be the most incompetent and rude person I've ever had the liberty of talking to!! I cancelled service with the company in August. She is telilng me that I reinstated service two days later. HELLO??? Why would I do that when I had another company picking up my trash?? When I asked for the name of a supervisor, she informed me they don't give out the names of their supervisors - it's not "public information". Who has ever heard of that?? Seriously?? The day I cancelled service, I was told I was paid through the following month. I told the person I spoke to that I would expect a refund. That was the last conversation I had with these idiots until today when they told me they would no longer be giving me a refund, as service was only being cancelled as of today.

I have NEVER in my life dealt with such an incompent group of people. They are the most unprofessional company. I'm still in total disbelief of my dealings with them. Customers for 5 years - and am just finding out how much their customers mean to them. Totally NOT recommended!!!

I have not had one problem with the town and country people. They run like clockwork and even on holidays! I don't have to worry about Memorial day off setting the week and moving my pick up day. Our last pickup service just didn't pick up our trash three weeks in a row and so we changed and town and country was cheaper! Also the trash guys are so friendly! I have 2 little boys who love to watch them and all of the guys wave at them, even the driver!

They abruptly stopped pickup despite having been paid and removing the money from my account. Then when I called to inquire the customer service people were rude, unresponsive, and acted as if they were doing ME a favor. In addition, they would often leave my garbage can akimbo and the lid in a separate area. Utterly worthless...

I love this trash service. They have reasonable rates, work all holidays and have always been very friendly every time I have called with a question. Much better than Deffenbaugh, who I saw going through my next door neighbors trash, not just once but two weeks in a row! I recommend Town & Country to all my friends.

Horrible customer service. Missed pick up and told I needed to inform them by phone within 24 hr. My pick up was on Fridays, I don't get home from work till after 5:00 pm (their closing time) so informed them by letter Monday, 2/23/09. No response. I called SEVERAL times for a supervisor to speak with and NEVER got a return call. The very first day of service, they skipped my recycling & when the garbage men were questioned by my husband, they said they would take care of it and then picked it up the recycling and threw it in with the garbage. The worst service of all time- I paid my bill online and they stopped my service with no notice. The money came out of my bank but they said it was not paid. The are the rudest people of all time.

I would rather gnaw off my arms than work with this company. For two months, they failed to pick up my recycling. I called to find out what the problem is and was told they would call me back. They never did. When I called them back again, they told me that I had to leave the recycling out the night before trash pickup. I did so and the recycling was not picked up again. When I called back, the representative told me that I shouldn't leave the recycling out the night before and proceded to explain that my recycling would be picked up. It wasn't. At no point did anyone there offer an appology for the lack of service. It was as if all the employees there had taken classes to learn how to be exceptionally rude over the phone. I finally found another trash company and cancelled my service with them. They said they'd pick up the trash bin I was renting from them. They did not. When I called to ask when they would pick it up, they told me that I had to leave my trash bin out for up to two weeks. I strongly recommend against using this company.

I just switched to this company for my trash pick up and I really like them. They have very reasonable rates for pick ups and they will even do special trash pick ups if you call and arrange it. The customer service is great if you have questions and call the people are very friendly and answer your questions quickly and they make sure all questions are answered before getting off the phone. This is the best trash pick up service i have found.

Spoke with Peg today about pricing a large container for construction waste removal... she'd said "Not until you resolve the matter of your past due bill". I had to confront her "Really, I'm not going to get pricing until I've paid an old bill, that I didn't even know I had?" And yes the old bill was apparently for service AFTER I had requested service be discontinued, PLUS a collections "fee". Genious! I'm sure I will have to pay, because after all, THEY can't have possibly made a mistake. Why be so testy with people? Does it really get you anywhere?
