Sandroff Earl A Dds - Dentaly Speaking is not worth it!

by Tosha M.

I don't agree with their policy's. When we first started going there my husband needed a lot of work we paid out of pocket for at least $2000. but how it was handled was very concerning. First off they never told us how much we would need to pay out of pocket. they just did the work. So when it came time to leave, here was this bill. they treated us as if we were criminals who were trying to get free dental. Totally not the case but if we would have known upfront how much, we would have spread out the services vs. all at once. then on top of that when i was on maternity leave and brought my baby w/me to the appt they all acted like I was doing something wrong by bringing her. I was only there for a cleaning. Anytime she would make the slightest noise they would look me up and down. Totally not a staff or a Dr. that i would ever take my child too. So after that experience we knew we would change once our child was 3 and needed to see a dentist. but were willing to ride it out until then. Well over the course of 3yrs we were seen there my husband apparently missed 3 appts. he said he never received a reminder call and if anyone has been to this office you know you have to make your appts months out in order to get it. So when my 2nd child was born i was preparing to go in for my appt that day and I got a call from their office saying Dr. Sandroff had decided to drop us as patients since my husband missed his appts. Nice of them to make that decision the day of my appt. then to top it off 2 of the fillings he did for my husband fell out. I would not recommend due to rude staff, lack of professionalism and low quality dental work.

I live in Carondelet and I continue to go there...

by Sean M.

When I lived in Wildwood I went to Dr. Sandroff's office. After that, I was hooked. I was always welcomed at the front door by Karen and Sara where professional rapport has always been the case, but always in a relaxed way. When going to the dentist, I like to feel relaxed and they certainly pull that off when enter the door.

Stella does not always tell me what I want to hear, but she is certainly truthful for which I am grateful.

Last, but certainly not least, is Dr. Sandroff. I think he is a great doctor for whom I could not ask for more. Again, I live in Carondelet and actually look FORWARD to going to the dentist even driving 40 minutes away...

Where medical professionals refer friends and family

by matt z.

After reading some of the previous dribble from former or almost patients, I am compelled to write on behalf of Dr. Sandroff and his staff.

If you care to have easy going, professional work done on your teeth, go there. If you are one who needs pomp and circumstance - go somewhere else.

I was referred by a practicing nurse of 40 plus years. She and her colleagues have been patients of Dr. Sandroff's for many years.

Why do you think they go there? The professionals in the medical community know where to go for the best care - period.

Dr. Sandroff once opened his office on a Sunday morning to examine one of my children's teeth after a nasty fall - no questions, just action.

That is what you want with a medical professional, right?

By the way....the front staff are fun to deal with....some folks need to learn to enjoy life a bit more....

Great experience!

by Jennifer T.

I had a great experience with the entire staff! Especially the front office. Both girls were very pleasant and funny! I felt totally relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. The hygienist I had was very thorough, and the Dr. was great! I had a blast!!! I would definitely recommend this office to anyone!!!

problem with account and refusal to accept patient

by sarah d.

I saw Dr. Sandroff as a new patient and was kind of taken back by the receptionist. She does have a sarcastic sense of humor - at one point she gave me the finger! I didn't really care and just played along but I did think it was unprofessional to the extreme.
I was going to bring my kids in for a check up but after telling them that I did not want xrays taken(because of family history of cancer) the doctor refused to see them.
I am also having problems with my account - I have been owed money since last November and they will not release it to me.
I can say that the actual work I had done on my tooth was fine.

The receptionist is cool

by Doug B.

The people who say the receptionist is rude probably lack her same sense of humor. I am kind of sarcastic like her so I don't have a problem with it.

Bad experience with receptionist

by Anonymous

I agree with the other reviewer that his receptionist are very difficult to work with. I have chaged job. Although the insurance company is the same, the terms are different. The person who is responsible for filing my claims insisted that she will file with my previous insurance information because it is already in their system. I have decided to switch dentist just because of that.

Cleaning and Filling

by Anonymous

I agree with the other reviewer that Dr Sandroff is a man of few words - but a two-way conversation would be nearly impossible with the dentistry tools in my mouth. He recommends only what is needed and answered several of my questions that even related to gum/tooth care of my 2 year old. His staff was very friendly and helpful. I will use them again & would recommend this dentist.

Okay dentist of few words

by J Y. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,578

I personally like the job one of the hygenists does here. She would give dental hygiene tips to you while cleaning your teeth even though you are unable to return conversation. Dr. Sandroff, however, is a man of a few words and seem to just say enough to tell you the minimum required and nothing more. His work is good though and he doesn't recommend work that is not needed. My dentist prior to Dr. Sandroff wanted to pull my wisdom teeth and give me a bridge. Dr. Sandroff disagreed and my current dentist also did not see anything wrong with my teeth.
