The lackluster exterior gives way to a hidden gem of Chinese food. It's a simple, quiet restaurant, with a friendly owner who gives excellent service. The food is tasty, inexpensive, and worth a return visit. I think the majority of their business is takeout, but I enjoyed dining in. The booths were comfortable and the service made for a great experience. I look forward to tasting more delights on this menu!

i have been here several times,and the food is so good,and the service is great.they always service you with a smile,and if you go get the chicken fried rice...

I wanted to go here a few times before writing my review. That said this place has been instrumental in helping me finish my thesis.

Peking serves up a great variety of all your favorite cheap Chinese foods for less than $10 per person including a soda. And when it comes to portions, man these folks have portions that are pretty big.

Also I can not say enough about how friendly the folks who work there are. They genuinely take delight in seeing the smiles on customers faces as they gorge themselves at one of the greatest bargains in Kansas City.

To sum it up:
Fast
Inexpensive
Friendly
lots of variety
Near my office
Easily my favorite eat near Pickle research Campus.

Just to tell everyone I am not a big fan of corporate restaurants. I travel a lot and it seems like every where I go the local restaurants are disappearing. The great thing about corporate restaurants the food and service is constant from one location to another. Trying new local restaurants are literally a hit or miss. Peking Chinese Restaurant is one of those few hits you will find when it comes to local restaurants. I prefer their homemade crab ran gons and hot and sour soup. The main dishes are very good. My favorite Chinese food has always been the crab ran goons and hot and sour. Happy Eating...
