Kanarek Joseph Md - Pediatric Group Inc

The most awesome Doctor ever to have hit the face of the earth. I trust him implicitly. In over 25 years of medical support to my children since their birth, he makes me believe that there are still Dr's out there that care and provide constant high level medical attention no matter what time of day or night it is. The sick patient becomes his issue immediately, no politics involved. He operates with the philosophy that the most important element of health-care is "the patient" ; not your insurance carrier, or your co-pay, but you. Most Doctors need to take note of his bedside manner and take that out the black bag they carry as they enter the room. I tear up as I think about now have my last son in college in Atlanta, Georgia, passed out during gym and I called Dr. K and he could feel my pain as the distance is alarming when you have a sick kid not to mention the anxiety. We contacted his office and he actually got on the phone and spoke to me and my son, no nurses, no answering service, no 2ND or 3rd point of reference but the real McCoy of doctors spoke to us as though we were right in his office. I will sing his praises until I am voiceless. There truly has and will never be another one like him. The Hughes Family of Kansas City.....eternally appreciative of this incredible human being...

This was my daughter's pediatrician at birth. He was very knowledgeable and caring. He accurately diagnosed her with Spinal Muscular Atrophy having only seen one case prior many years before. He referred us to a neurologist for genetic confirmation of his diagnosis allowing us to become proactive in her care. We had to get a new pediatrician because Dr. Kanarek did not take Kansas Medicaid and we wanted someone in the Children's Mercy network to deal with my daughter's special needs, but we are forever grateful to this doctor!
