Goodden Jewellers

I went to Goodden to re-size an estate engagement ring after reading all the positive reviews here. The minute I was buzzed in, Elizabeth burst from the back office and greeted me with a familiarity and warmth like she'd known me her whole life. The service I received was knowledgeable, professional and speedy (they finished my ring four days early!), and I felt completely comfortable (I loathe big-box jewelry stores because of the hustling and talking-down-to many of them consider "service"). The store itself is amazing, with wonderful, unique pieces, a fabulous art gallery and--perhaps best of all--Downtown Mr. Brown, the world's only canine jeweler. I fell in love with the place (and the people!) and I know the next time I have any sort of jewelry need, I'll be heading to Goodden Jewellers to get fantastic service, an enjoyable trip, and kisses from Downtown Mr. Brown!

Goodden Jewellers is the only place we trust to buy jewelry. Rick, Elizabeth and staff are the best at what they do. They have custom designed several very special pieces for us...they listened to what we wanted and designed the piece to exceed our expectations. Even though we now live in FL...we just had them design 3 new pieces. They are stunning! Rick also appraised our jewelry for insurance purposes. Thank you Rick & Elizabeth!!!

They have the best jewelry selection I've ever seen. They do custom pieces that are so great, I've gotten tons of complements on my ring and my daughter's ring. They have great prices, nothing like the chain stores with the same stuff every time you turn around. They also have a great room full of art work and fossils. Love this place and will never go anywhere else! And make sure you see Down Town Mr. Browne while you are there.

I have had excellent service at Goodden Jewellers and my husband finds the most perfect gifts as they know what matches my skin type. I have learned that Gooden's can match your skin color with a gold color and can even make peach gold. I am pleased with all the jewelry I have received classy from here. They carry all types of unique design that are elegant with something for everyone.

Goodden Jewellers is the best store by far. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about jewelry. The have a huge selection of items, estate pieces, cameos, silver, gold, one of a kind and designer pieces and if after all that you still can't find what you want, they will design a piece for you! All this and great prices too. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

We have been depending on Goodden Jewelers for over 20 years for custom work and their wonderful estate pieces. Rick and Elizabeth know their stuff plus they and their staff are honest and hardworking. Their custom work is out of this world! The estate pieces like yummy, heavy gold bracelets and unusual rings are to die for! Their prices are very reasonable and not over inflated. With over 50 years in the jewelry business in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, they are not a fly-by-night jeweler and their devoted customer base is a testiment to the quality service they deliver.

You will be so glad that you decided to shop at Goodden Jewelers. My family and friends and I have been shopping at Gooddens since we moved to KC in the 1980s. My engagement ring was designed by them, and I never go anywhere without someone telling me what a beautiful and unique ring it is. I've even had friends who have had rings designed that were based on mine. Over the years my husband and I have bought several pieces from them, ranging from lovely and affordable estate pieces, to one of a kind pieces that have been created by the kind and talented folks at Gooddens. In addition to the wonderful jewelry and service you will find there, Rick is a licensed gemologist and so can give the kind of accurate apparaisals you want for your insurance. If you want something beautiful and unique, not the usual cookie cutter stuff you get at chain stores, go visit Goodden Jewelers. And, take your puppy dog with you. They'll leave feeling as special and pampered as you will.

have gone to Goodden Jewellers. I have fine and unique pieces from grandmothers and mothers in law from Goodden. My own engagement ring and wedding ring come from Goodden. I live in Connecticut now and still, Goodden's work is recognized as exceptional. The shopping experience equals the quality of the work: wonderful. Whether I have an idea for a custom piece or I buy one from the bountiful cases, my husband and I -and the entire family- are never dissatisfied. Our current project with Goodden include several pearl necklaces for our nieces' 16th birthdays. We bought them each one pearl a year since they were born and give them a full necklace on their 16th. Goodden is a must in our lives.

Rick, Elizabeth and the entire staff at Gooddens make the shopping experience extremely enjoyable. Their selection of jewelry is only eclipsed by thier expertise in custom design. This store is a must if you want eye catching top of the line jewelry.

Having a passion for jewelry, I was more than thrilled to find Goodden Jewellers here in Kansas City. I've been a customer for over ten years and Elizabeth and Rick continue to find excellent quality in unique pieces for me. It is always thrilling to see the new estate pieces or work on a new ring right from the design phase. As a manufacturing jeweler, the Gooddens can make practically ANYTHING you would like. Show them a picture or describe it and Rick can draw it. They never proceed without your absolute satisfaction.

Most jewelry stores make me feel uncomfortable, but Goodden's gave me a welcome feeling right from the start. They have a beautiful and spacious showroom, yet welcome pets with open arms. When a pet comes in with a customer, all work stops and extreme attention is showered on the pet. They even have a store dog, Downtown Mr. Brown, who works most Tuesdays and Thursdays. He even has his own office.

I've recommended the store to several others and they have thanked me for showing them the best jewelery store in Kansas City. I never worry about referring someone to the Gooddens. You can't go wrong here.

I love my engagement ring! My fiance surprised me with a gorgeous (all four C's covered!) round cut diamond with a white gold vintage setting. I love that its a classic diamond, but the setting is unique. When he told me he got it from Goodden jewelers, I loved it even more because we are big supporters of KC downtown development. When I went in to get my ring sized, Elizabeth and the others were very attentive and helpful, and I had my ring back to me by the end of the same day. If you want something high quality but unique, don't go to a chain in the mall, go to Goodden in downtown KC!! -Sarah K
