Patrikio's Mexican Restaurant

I've been to this place twice for the lunch buffet and both times were very good. The buffet is not very diverse and only offers pork burritos, beef burritos, beef enchiladas, cheese and onion enchiladas, and DIY hardshell tacos with beef, lettuce, cheese, tomato, and onion as well as beans and rice for sides. There are also chips and salsa which are alright although I like my salsa chunky and this was somewhat soupy.

The pork burritos were my favorite dish, filled with very flavorful and moist meat and topped generously with cheese. The beef burritos and beef enchiladas are essentially the same thing as far as I can tell but they are both very good as well. The cheese and onion enchilada was good, but I only ate one because I like meat in my dish. My only qualm is that everything is served in rows in a shallow metal pan which allows the grease and whatever other liquids to pool in the pans and soak into the bottom of the tortilla they are wrapped in, but its not that big of a deal to me because Mexican food is fairly greasy and fattening by definition.

The waitresses were excellent during both trips. My drink was never empty and they always conveniently took it and refilled it while I was getting a new plate. On a couple occasions my pop was 3/4 full and they still went ahead and refilled it while I got a new plate. They also made sure to ask if everything was to my liking during my lunch. They were also very friendly.

While there's not a lot of variety in the buffet, it definitely nails the essentials and I would definitely recommend Patrikio's to anyone looking for a quick, cheap Mexican lunch buffet.

I am in love with Mexican food and I never pass it up. However, I will pass this place up everytime. The chips are stale and I was not impress with the salsa. During the day, they have a buffet but all of the food that I tasted has been very plain. Even the rice was bland. The place is not clean and it needs to be closed down. The wait staff were not helpful and it seemed like I was brothering them. There are plenty of mexican joints to eat out, just make sure this is not one of them.

This restaurant is right around the corner from my mother's house and we visited once. The service was mediocre at first, but then got worse when there was a problem with our meal. My husband had ordered a chicken burrito and in the process of eating it, he discovered that there was actually no chicken in it. The waitress was fairly rude when we pointed this out to her and then her response was that they are premade(ie they are just heating them up from frozen) and that the supplier must have made a mistake with this one. I believe we got that item removed from our bill but it was overall a terrible experience and we will never go back.
