We just recently started going to JackSon's and it is really nice and cozy. Dinner is a bit expensive but worth it! Lunch items are much more affordable. The dining room is romantic while the bar is well a bar but they close off the two rooms so there is a nice seperation. My husband just loved the steak!! The angry shrimp are great!!!

Pros: you can either enjoy the bar scene or have a nice quiet dinner

Cons: street parking

I had a HUGE hamburger for lunch last week which was pretty good. I went back and tried a steak and wasn't impressed. The salad is just a wedge of Iceberg lettuce. They do bring some good bands in at night but it gets too crowded. Don't ever start a tab at the bar. The bartenders are well known for overcharging, stealing or losing credit cards. Never pay with a bill larger than a 5 because they love to shortchange people, even regulars that have been going there for years.

Pros: good lunch menu

Cons: Steaks are a cheap cut of meat

.

Pros: Excellent food. Everything was delicious, good service.

Cons: Jacksons has a bar area, and a separate small dining room. We went for a late dinner (around 8:30 pm) and the bar was already cranking up pretty good. The music was loud and they were having some sort of trivia game. All of this was only separated from the dining.

One of our favorite places. Neighborhood bar on one side and white tablecloths on the restaurant side. We've been there countless times. Steaks are the BEST, but I like their Voodoo pizza and sandwiches too. We love the atmoshere -hand painted murals on the wall, not to big. The guys that own it are great and service has always been friendly. It may be helpful to call ahead for a table, especially at peak times

Pros: great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff

Cons: too far from my house!

My husband nd I frequent bars around town and we tried JackSon's because we enjoyed the band they had scheduled. Other than the cramped place with no regular temperature, when we went to pay at the end of the night it was a scandal! We had received half price drink coupons at the door, but no discounts showed on our bill. There were 4 of us on one tab and they had added an extra drink to each of what we had ordered. All in all I guess they figured drinkers can't count or keep track of what they spent (yet they would let us drive away from there, I'm sure!) After arguing and having our bill thrown back at us, we were satisfied with the bill, but not the attitude we recieved from the guy in charge. We will not be returning to Jackson's, and I don't suggest you open a tab there.

Pros: They have alcohol.

Cons: temperature, entrance, covercharge, nobody cleaning up tables, bad service, overcharging

The stuffed potato skins appetizer, a portion large enough for 2-3 people and brimming with mushrooms, onions, sirloin tips cheese and special sauce, provides a difinitive example of the quality of food to come. How can 3 people order grilled steak and each tastes succulently different? Corky's provides a choice of preparation seasonings and toppings, all of which combine with almost fork tender grilled steak to provide for satisfying differing tastes of individual diners. Does a wedge of lettuce sound too plain for a salad? Not when it is crisp, cold and covered with homemade dressings, small bits of fresh vegetables, white cheese and served with wedges of garlic toast. Four kinds of potatoes are provided, each so well prepared that it is difficult to choose. Add to that the vegetable of the day and there is hardly room for dessert. But don't miss those desserts, they too are excellent.

Visited Corky's recently after having overheard a group describing their great meal the previous night. I was not dissappointed. The 1/2 pound aged filet was truly outstanding. I had a roasted garlic rub for a topping, wow, really enjoyed my dinner. My friend had a grilled salmon special that was equally wonderful. Don't miss the martini's, a double batch with the remaining pour left at the table.
