I scheduled lessons for my daughter a week ago. When we arrived for the lesson, the clerk said they didn't know anything about it. He said it was a "computer glitch" and we weren't registered. The kid who was on the phone had barely taken any information, I should have expected it. OK. It happens. They were quick to take blame, slow to find a solution.

They said we could come back 2-1/2 hours later today when the teacher had an opening, and we could come at an earlier time in following weeks. OK, not ideal, but they tried to make it right, although the attitude was VERY unprofessional among the employees we talked with.

When my daughter arrived for the "rescheduled" lesson tonight, the computer "glitch" happened again. He had another student, and she was asked to come back on another day, one not at all convenient for her. She took the money we had paid for the lesson and left. Unfortunately, we bought a book for her lessons there, and she didn't have the receipt to return it. The only redeeming factor is that we were able to schedule lessons at another store where that teacher uses the same book. I will not have to deal with Eureka music again.

This isn't the first time I've had unprofessional help at that store. I'm a piano teacher, and have bought many things there, as well as have sent many students there, some satisfied, some dissatisfied. It seems it depends on who is working and whether or not they're interested in what you need.

I will not be returning to the store, nor will I send any students there in the future. I only hope they can get their act together. I wish them well, but cannot afford to work with a business that is willy-nilly about the service they provide.

Eureka Music is worth checking out whether you are looking for instruments, looking how to play them, or both. They have reasonable prices on lessons, they also provide rental instruments, which turned out to be a blessing when my daughter decided to switch instruments. The staff is always in a good mood. great atmosphere.
