Carl's is at least as good as all the previous reviews. Great, fresh, delicious food, icy and refreshing root beer, and a neat place to visit and dine.

A vey famous landmark location. 1950's style with its two sides of bars with stools. Usually always someone waiting to get inside for all the great choices awaiting. I always get the footlong chili dog and an icy cold mug of root beer. MMM good!!!

I used to live one mile from Carl's, now I live 2,144 miles from Carl's. Some days I'd still make the drive to get a few burgers, fries and a huge icy root beer. Growing up in STL I didn't realize quite how special a place like Carl's drive-in was. Now it is one of a handful of dining experiences in my life that compares to nothing else, part nostalgia for a taste of home and part just wonderful food, a craving that nothing else can satisfy. I haven't been back home in years, but when I go Carl's will be one of the first stops I make. I just hope they're open when I get there.

Although the spacious room one desires to be accompanied with while dining isn't available, Carl's makes up for it with their exceptional burgers and wonderful hot dogs. And don't forget an ice cold glass of A&W rootbeer. When I go to Carl's I feel very very comfortable and welcome. i almost kind of feel like I'm six years old and getting to go to the candy shop in the 50s. It's a wonderful experience.

For 3 or 4 Carl's burgers today. Don't mess with getting just one - it will just frustrate you.

The fixings are perfect, the bun just right. I can only imagine this is what MacDonald's was like back in the day before billions and billions were sold. Good Eats.

Carl's Drive In has always been a favorite for my son and me, ever since he was a wee one (he's now 13). As a toddler, he could "belly up" to the counter and swing on the barstool, watch the friendly staff cook his burger while sipping on a kid-sized mug of icy cold rootbeer. He still gets a look of excitement on his face when we pull into the lot.
Great place for families with kids!

I can't keep my boys away from Carl's. We move into the neighborhood two years ago and have been discovering the hot spots. Once we stop at Carl's lmy boys want to go there every week.

My grandfather started taking me to Carl's back when I was a little girl, & it's still one of my favorite places. I have enjoyed introducing the joys of Carl's to a younger generation, especially my daughter, who just loves the root beer!

Carl's hot, cooked to order cheeseburgers and golden french fries with a frosty root beer can't be beat\. Nor can the ever efficient staff who operate like automatons from a SNL skit.
