Vintage Restaurant is part of Stone Hill Winery. They offer the Stone Hill wine at dinner. If I know that I will be going to eat there, I starve myself all day long. The German food is awesome. They offer a variety of main dishes and authentic German sides. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff is usually good. I would recommend them .

While I have been here several times during the off season and had great food and service, I was amazed at the difference during their peak season. The staff almost seems to use "Oktoberfest" as an excuse to be rude. At dinner I was treated to an extremely unpleasant waitress that was not only neglectful but down right nasty when I did finally flag her down. My husband and I had to get a manager involved in what should have been basic service. The waitress flat out said to me "It's October, there is nothing I can do about it!"
The standard fare of Cornish game hen roasted to near perfection was replaced with more a more ethnic palate of German cuisine. While it did include a few scrumptious dishes (the potato pancakes are from heaven) it also seemed a bit expected (brats and schnitzel). I would have loved to see the theme carried over into the gourmet dishes that I know the chef can whip out.
Overall, if you go in October maybe try lunch when there is a less formal atmosphere and before the wait staff feels belligerent or go when there isn't a crowd to enjoy this gem along the Missouri River.
