They have very good cashew chicken. The round room reserved for parties is really cool. I like going to Mr. Yen's in the evening because it looks pretty. Before entering you should take some time to look at their koi fish, in their tiny stream. They have a very good selection, but I think their cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken and their general chicken is the best. Some people like to get a little fancy, and they end up ordering something they are disappointed with. If you will stick with their basic staples you shouldn't leave unhappy. The sauces are really spicy, the hot mustard stings your nose. I really like their crab rangoon. I give them five stars for parties, or just dinner for two. I no longer drink, but they offer really good zombie drinks served in tiki glasses. Expect to leave with a carry out bag unless you can eat a lot of food at one serving. The hosts are great, and they remember my mom's name each Christmas party. I think it's the best Chinese place in Springfield, Missouri. I don't care for buffets to often, and it's nice to just order a good meal. Don't forget to drink some hot tea with your meal.

My mom had cashew chicken at Mr. Yens and the chicken was obviously not cooked through. There is nothing scarier than undercooked chicken. I've not been back and I don't recommend to anyone.

PROS: ?
CONS: Possible food poisoning.
