Tom's Bar & Grill opened our doors in 1976 as a family business and quickly became one of St. Louis's most popular bar and grills. Our specialty is thick, juicy burgers, spicy hot wings and ice cold beverages. Watch the big games on the big screen. We boast seven TVs, four of which are high-definition plasmas (including the big screen). We also have NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN College GamePlan, so you won't miss any of the action. We invite you to visit Tom?'s Bar & Grill for a little piece of Chicago in the Central West End of St. Louis.
A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I all met for dinner and drinks at Tom's and it was great. We had all gone to the museum beforehand and were starving, so you can imagine how relieved we were that the food came out within 5-10 minutes. We hadn't even finished our conversation!
The entrees are typical bar food-burgers, sandwiches, etc. at a good price (around $10 with tip), especially considering the fact that this place is located in the pricier CWE. The atmosphere was laid back and the service was great. Bring a sweater though, I was cold sitting in the back of the restaurant.
Tom's also has its own lot, so no worries about the parking either. Yet another good reason to go there if you're down at the CWE.

Want to watch your favorite team while enjoying an incredible burger and cold drinks? This is the place for you. It's been around for a long time and was filled with locals when I visited. Everyone was friendly and I had a great time watching my Chiefs.

I really want to go to this bar more, great location, good food, cool atmosphere, friendly service... but it has to be one of the poorest ventilated bars in STL. You are guaranteed to reek like stale cigarettes after 30 minutes inside. Too bad.
Pros: Location, Beer Selection, Waitresses
Cons: Smells like a wet ashtray

This is where my parents re-kindled their love. It's a great neighborhood bar with decent food and good beer. Lots of medical people due to proximity to BJC.
Pros: Best karaoke night in STL
Cons: Smoky

Prompt service. Good bar food. Buffalo Chicken Sandwhich highly recommended. Good portion sizes. GREAT ketchup.
Pros: Ketchup

I see there hasn't been a review since June 2006, and I can't disagree with that guy more. The Bar food is excellant and the place gets very crowded so get there early if you want to watch your favorite team. The atmosphere is perfect with that old town tavern look up front and a ski lodge in the restaurant area with a Large fireplace and huge skylite in the ceiling. They have there own parking lot for Tom's customers so it's also convienent. The beer is the coldest in town and the servers are friendly and nice to look at. The best sports bar in the Central West End.
Pros: Parking
Cons: Which it was bigger

Good bar to sit back and chill in front of a TV. Waitresses are hot and it's almost never crowded. The food, however, is absolutely terrible!! Eat somewhere else first!
Pros: Waitresses, Parking, Big Screen TV
Cons: Food
