We have used Dr. Jenkins for many years and have never encountered any issues. My parents always took our animals here when we were kids and now I do that I have my own family with pets. As for all the poor reviews on this vet office, Im sure that Dr. Jenkins did all he could for your animals, but its only reality that losses happen. I have expirenced pets passing and its hard. Do we blame our doctors in the hospitals that we decide to seek treatment when life happens? Some do but all doctors are human. There is no reason to go online and attempt to give someone a bad reputaion. Have a great day!!

I have been using Doc Jenkins for 20 years and he has treated my animals with absolutely no problems. Both he and his assistant have always been there when I needed them, they are caring and good people. Doc is there for the animal not the buck. They are a great team.

I have read the reviews for Dr. Jenkins, if you already knew of him,why did you go to him, if you didnt, why didnt you check him out..?
I have used Dr. Jenkins for about 30 yrs, and have never had a problem, I have had to use him for my horses (I use to manage the stables at Lodge of the Four Seasons), My Own horses, my dogs, my cats, and took lots of my friends animals to him..He tells you if it can be helped, or what to do..HE is an animal lover, and anyone that has had problems, it just happened..He does the best he can for everyone, and the person doesnt matter, he cares for the animals...
I am so sorry there are people in this world that just has to try to cause trouble for others...I have lost l pets, but not because of not being cared for from Dr. Jenkins.. I'm sorry you people are so sad that you have to try to hurt someone that just tried to help you...
As for your vet at Linn Creek, I had a horse hurt there, and he said to put him down right then, I said no it will take a little time, but I will take care of this horse my self...The vet stitched him up, stitches broke loose the same day..I re stitched, and ended up rideing him the rest of the year...Vets are people too. they are not God, and if you get one that cares for your animals, you should feel blessed....Have a great Day.....!

We have used Jenkin Vet for around 35 years and we have never had a problem with him or his staff at all. If it was not for Doc Jenkins I would have lost lot of livestock. He is a great person. What some people don't like is that he tells you like it is and you can eather deal with it or not. I take all my animals to him. He is the only vet in lebanon that when you walk in the door knows your name and like me knows my whole family. I pass by his office everyday and I don't see an empty parking lot (like at most vet offices) I see a whole lot of people that are there cause they trust him.

Wow.... to the employee that responded in his defense. Are you covering up for negligence? There is a lot more negative responses than positive, and that speaks for itself. And read up on the Parvo virus, it is not airborne! STAY AWAY!!!!!

I took my golden retriever to him because he was shaking severly and had a temp of 102 degrees. the vet told me it was lockjaw. he did no tests. no nothing. he basically told me he was going to die because he was so sick and so old. he tried to give my dog an IV and stuck him no less than 20 times with a very big needle without success. he even shaved his neck and tried to put the IV in his juggular. they never even got the IV going. i felt like the vet didnt know what he was doing so i took my dog to a vet in linn creek for a second opinion. they did blood and stool tests. it turned out he had heart worms. a few pills and they were gone. my dog is now very happy and very ALIVE. no thanks to Jenkins or his staff. I will never go back and strongly urge people to never take their animals there.

Doctor Jenkins is the best vet I every used. He's always there with an answer to help. He can almost always work you in if you have a problem. Everyone that works there is real nice and they care about your pet. I don't think they could ever be mean to any animal or person.

I took my cat to Dr Jenkins two times and they seemed really great. well today my cat wasn't acting right so I called Dr Jenkins , told the receptionist the symptoms, I could hear her tell the Dr the symptoms then they started laughing and the Dr said I am not Jesus Christ. When he started talking to me he said he had no idea and left it at that. NO concern at all everything was just a joke.

Our dogs are always rescue animals. We got our dog, Dusty, at about 4 months old. After a few months we took her to Doc Jenkins to get spayed. We picked her up the next day, and she seemed sore, but okay. The next 2 days she just got sicker and sicker. On Sunday she was not moving at all. We were unable to get hold of the vet. We ended up taking her to Terra vet. She nearly died from peritonitis. She was in the hospital more than a month. We found out that she had been operated on with dirty equipment. We have never went back since then.

diarrea is a common thing in animals, especially when they're nervous or scared and when you fly your pet around the world, those type of things should be expected. how stupid can you be to spend "$4000" on something you've not researched or are sure about. had any of you who wrote bad reviews read any of them beforehand, maybe you wouldn't be so pissed off. purchase a puppy from a local breeder where you can experience and examine all of those things first hand, and do your research. Mr. Jenkins has been in Lebanon for decades. He isn't in business because he rips people off. People are just ignorant and look for someone else to blame, which is what most of you have done.

I'm sure that if anyone looks hard enough they can find fault with anyone. I live in Lebanon, Dr. Jenkins is not my usual vet, but his Son and Daughter-in-law are. A little over a year ago I purchased a horse that was severly foundered and needed an X-ray, ASAP, so my farrier could start treatment. My usual vet was out of town so I called Dr. Jenkins. They told us to bring her right in.
It took us four hours to get her foot X-rayed, because she hurt that bad and wouldn't stand still long enough to get the X-ray. Dr. Jenkins didn't give up or get upset with her. He would just try again and if the next image didn't turn out he would come back and take another one. And in the end it only cost us $35.
Just as a side note every other vet we called was wanting over $85 to take the same X-ray and that was only if they only had to take one picture.

I too, as did the reviewer below, purchase a puppy from a breeder in Lebanon, MO. The puppy was shipped to our home here in New York. Jenkins Veterinary Service signed off on the puppy's health. Within three days of arriving to our home our puppy was diagnosed with PARVO Virus. After 4 days in the hospital and $2500 dollars in hospital bills the puppy had to be put down.

We have spoken to multiple vets here in New York and none will confirm the theory that PARVO is airborne or stress related.
Beware of this vet and this breeder in MO.

Apparently you can not write a bad review so I will just say I would not recommend the veterinary service because of a bad experience I had with them. Dr. Jenkins, his assistant, or the janitor signed a Health Certificate for my puppy to fly. I took my dog to my vet immediately when he arrived as he was coughing and had diarrhea. My vet said it was one of the worse cases of Kennel Cough he'd ever seen in a puppy. Puppy also has an intestinal disorder that should have been found with a stool exam. This was within one hour of the puppy arriving at the airport. He did not catch Kennel Cough and the intestinal virus in the 3 hours he was on the plane. When called, the doctor did not get on the phone but his assistant was very rude. Dr. Jenkins (or someone else) signs all the Health Certificates for this breeder who ships sick and dying puppies all over the country.

I just want it to be known that the bad reviews written about Jenkins Veterinary Service do not have all the information listed only the bad things to make Dr. Jenkins look bad. As for the puppy that died in Colorado from Parvo, well first off the breeder gives puppy vaccinations at 6 weeks of age and at 8 weeks of age and it takes 21 days for vaccinations to get into the system and provide a strong immunity for Parvo, when a puppy flies on a airplane they stress, some more than others and therefore could come down with Parvo within a day of them reaching new home. When puppies leave the office they are healthy or would not be allowed a vet health certificate to fly out. I know this for certain because I work at Jenkins Veterinary Service and my vet is always cautious and caring about the animals. As for the puppy that Tina t is stating weighed 9lbs at 9wks old, as she does not write on this review that was one week after she received this puppy I have a copy of the flight form with the weight of the puppy on it being 17lbs at time of flight, when she called our office I was right there while my vet was speaking to her on the phone and he was NEVER rude to her he answered her questions as she asked them. As for making money for checking puppies we have very low prices because my vet is in it for the animals, not the money. We do NOT allow sick or malnourished puppies a health certificate. We are NOT Rude with anyone or Rough with anyones animals ever.

I live in CO and purchased a puppy from a breeder in Lebanon, MO. She took my puppy to this vet which allowed her to to be shipped to CO. My puppy ended up in the ER 2 days after I received her. She had PARVO, a small 8week old Chihuahua and I ended up spending $4,000 dollars for a dog i only had for 2 days. She died 5 days later. I tried to ask the breeder for a refund and for my pet bills paid said no because this VET SAID PARVO IS AIRBORNE..IT'S NOT IT IS CONTAMINATED BY FECAL MATTER. This vet is a very unprofessional. Also Parvo stays incubating in the body 7-14 days before showing clinical signs. I am stressed out from this situation from this breeder and this Vet.

I recently spoke with this veterinarian because he provided my new puppy with the health certificate that was needed before he was able to fly to me. My puppy arrived clearly emaciated with every bone in his body predominately visible- he weighed 9lbs at 9wks old, which I found out from my vet and backed up by a general guide from The Saint Bernard Club, is less than half the weight for the breed standard at this age. When I called to ask about his size and how anyone could possibly look at this puppy and think that he was healthy as everyone who has seen my puppy has looked at him in shock and horror,( the local pet store told me to take him to the vet and have him checked for parvo immediately), I was told that "malnutrition is matter of opinion and he was healthy at the time of the exam"(one day earlier). Mr Jenkins was very rude and acted though I'd bothered him and quite frankly left me wondering how easy it must be to make money from selling sick puppies when the veterinarian doesn't intervene but encourages it

I took my cat to this vet, she is an older cat, I told them that she has heart and kiddney problems and was a very nervous cat, I asked them to be very gentle with with her. The doctor and assistant yanked her all around, by the time they were finished with her she was very traumatized.

iI took my dog there because he was limping. I think he had something stuck in his pad. Well the doctor just stuck a needle in his pad and moved the needle all around in his pad. He was not careful at all. Well now he has nerve damage in his paw. It bothers him all the time. He growls at it all the time. I feel sorry for him. THe doctor is hateful too.
