.

I was very disappointed leaving Michael's tonight. The waitress spilled an entire glass of red wine on me within 5 minutes of us getting there! Wine was all over my white shirt, and my jeans were SOAKED- both thighs, crotch, around to my behind. The waitress was apologetic and I was understanding b/c I knew it was an accident. I sat there for the entire experience very uncomfortable in my soaked pants, but figured at least she'd comp my meal for my discomfort. All she did was take off $9 of wine! And it wasn't even my wine; it was my friend's! I never got a visit from the manager, nothing. Very disappointed. I guess I should've acted like a jerk instead of being nice about it. I still paid a $70 tab at the end of this uncomfortable experience.

The food is good and tasty. There is a lot of tempting fried foods and not enough variety on heatlhy alternatives. The Dolmades are delicious and somewhat healthy. The atomosphere is on the loud side. If you have anyone with a handcapp or elderly request the upstairs dining, if not there are many steps, which may cause a problem.

Pros: Very good food, lots of choices

Cons: Many fried foods

The only negative with Michael's is that parking is a bust on a busy night. Located on busy Manchester, a bit hazardous, but still worth the visit. Food is great (especially the Greek salad) and hanging out at the bar is a lot of fun - expect to meet new, friendly people. This place has been around a while, so I would recommend checking it out if you have not had the pleasure!

A fried suggested this place, and I??ve been hooked since. They have great gyros & amazing Greek salads. The appetizers are great, especially the fried zucchini sticks & homemade hummus. Last time I visited, I ordered a filet minion medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was pure heaven! The staff is great and the bartenders are generous. Every time I??ve sat at the bar, I??ve made new friends. Only two complaints: there is only street parking so during busy times, a spot can be hard to find & if you??re going during dinner time on the weekends, expect a crowd. You can make reservations, though.

I started ging to Michael's when I moved to St. Louis in 1989. We would go there on Sunday's after softball, and from the very first bite of the Michael's Burger I was hooked. Their wings trounce Culpepper's IMO, and the gyro's are stuffed with tender juicy meat. I've never had a bad meal and am constantly introducing new people to the Best Burger in town. Great value and great flavors.

I was told that that ribeye sandwich was the best and it is true! Not a bad price for such a great "sandwich". The portions are great, service friendly and we are going back. I highly recommend Michael's. St. louis has so many great places to eat and this is towards the top of the list.

The food was delicious, inexpensive, and authentic - fantastic in every way! Our waitress was very nice and maintained her composure and friendly, professional attitude even when tending to the needs of the grumpy, fussy old woman in the booth next to us. The tzatziki and pita were yummy as were the wings and Michael's salad! Four thumbs up from the happy dining couple - we'll be back!

A friend took me to Michael's last night, and I was beyond impressed with the food and the service. I am a hummus fanatic, and Michael's hummus was the best I've had in St. Louis. I had the Greek salad for dinner, and I loved that as well. The servers were attentive, and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely be back!

If you like Chicken Wings, you have to come here. They are amazing! I've been coming here since I was 4 years old and I am 23 now. I have seen this place start as a small bar and grow into a fine restaurant. Also they have, hands down, the best greek salad in the world. Worth every penny!
