I took a class at a Meramec off campus sight and i thought it was just okay. The teacher was pretty full of herself and too blunt, in my opinion, and treated us adults like children at times, whihc I did not like.

Nice to have a location in Ballwin nearby. Class selection isn't the best, but great for what classes they do have. Teachers are great and nice to be with students in your same area.

MIT (Meramec In Town) as some locals call the St Louis Community College at Meramec, offers a lot for students young and old alike. I remember taking summer cources here while in a degree program elsewhere when I was an undergrad trying to graduate earlier. Now I am finding lots of continuing education classes in many different areas. Enough so that I have no reason to ever be bored. There is a slight stigma associated with graduating from a CC but the students usually laugh it up jokingly bragging that they graduated from MIT.

I went to Meramec for a couple of semesters and I really liked it. They have a lot of "continuing education" classes also- that I'm looking into. They have classes for those who just want to take classes to learn and not towards a degree. The campus is very nice, and they've opened a new one in south county.

Everyone calls this The Barn" because it looks like an old barn house. This school does not offer as much as the one in Kirkwood but the teachers are great. This is a great school if you need to go somewhere close to home. They are accredited and they have EMT classes. The tuition is also a real bargain!

PROS: Great tuition fees.
CONS: Not that many classes offered at this location.

St. Louis Community college offers a wide variety of continuing education classes. You can take anything from self defense, to CPR, to how navigate the internet.

Classes are relatively cheap and they do not last forever, so you don't feel like it's a huge committment to make by taking a class or two.

I definitely recommend, if you are looking to dabble in a new skill or want to take on a new hobby, to check the schedule of courses here and see if they offer something you might be interested in.

If you are looking for a small town college with the big city this is it. They will help you pick the courses to take and get help with paying for you needs. They are located close to most major highways. Great school and great staff

If you are looking at taking up a couple courses this is your place to go. It is local and has been around for years. It is easy to get to close to all the major highways. They offer payment plans and help getting loans and granst too. they offer day and night classes. Call to day to get a book of classes they are offering
