.

When shopping for flooring, we went to Carpet Mart where the woman kept telling us that her installer was the lowest on the Coast. (Prior to this, we were warned to beware of the low cost installer). She informed us that all her tiles were $4.00. The installer charged $1.50 a square foot. I asked how she could charge $4.00 for every tile (no matter whether it was ceramic, porcelain, slate, etc.) But I never got an answer. I did not feel right about her estimates, so we quickly left the store - and found tiles for $2.19 - and an installer that kept the price at $2.25 per square foot (because we were doing the whole house). I would highly recommend that you keep on going passed Carpet Mart.
