We visited the Gator Ranch during Spring Break. My kids (ages 1, 10 and 13) and I had a blast! It was well worth the money. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The air boat ride was AWESOME! We saw gators of all shapes and sizes...we even held a 4' gator at the end of our tour! My 1 year old daughter was able, and excited, to pet it. She is still talking about the "agators" and seeing them eat marshmallows. She is having an alligator birthday party next month! My 13 year old son who is too cool for everything was even excited. He said he enjoyed this more than Disney World. I was concerned that this may be a frightening experience; however, it was not scary at all. There are many acres of land and the alligators were spread far apart. We only saw 1 gator at a time. I highly recommend this experience for people of all ages.

Just went to the gator farm on 3-18-10 with my 2 children and wife. It was well worth the trip! The air boat ride was awesome and the guide (Shawn) knows his gators! We even got to hold a 4 foot gator for pictures!! I recommend this stop for anyone traveling along the Gulf Coast. And there was no gator meat for sale!!!!

My family (husband, myself and 2 boys ages 2 and 7) went to the gator ranch this morning and we all absolutely loved it. Our guide was so informative and fun. He really made it a great expereince. He knew each gator by name and seemed to really care for them and trying to convince us, the guests, that these are magnificant creatures. We are from Minnesota so I was not sure what to expect at all.
I highly recommend the boat ride to all.

Before we went, we checked this site for reviews (that is why I feel I should write one).
I have no idea where Pamela V went. This ranch has over 100 acres. They were in no way packed into a small area. On the boat ride, we only saw one gator at a time. I guess they are territorial.
It was really fun. There were also other birds and wildlife - it is like a refuge of sorts.
I am from Minnesota and we have nothinkg like this!

In the past 3 years, I have been to the Gator Ranch many times and it is very much worth the trip! The airboat rides are exciting and even my 2 yr old enjoyed it!
I'd like to clarify one thing: The alligators are NOT raised for their meat or their skin.. And they are fed often.
Everyone should visit the Gulf Coast Gator Ranch and Tours because it's an experience you won't find anywhere else!!

We went to the Alligator Farm a few years ago, and took the airboat right. My kids were scared to death, but I thought it was fun. The alligators themselves are packed into a small area and look quite hungry.

I was turned off by the fact that they raise alligators for meat and sell the skin.

PROS: Informative boat tour
CONS: They sell alligator meat
