.

I took my ill rabbit to Dr. Thomi recently. He failed to do the necessary testing to determine whether my rabbit had gastric stasis or an intestinal blockage, both of which are treatable. Instead, our beloved pet sat in the APEX hospital for about 20 hours, at which point the technician found him nearly dead in his cage. At that point, Dr. Thomi resuscitated my rabbit, and called me to tell me he would recommend euthanising my pet, which I did. I was very unhappy that Dr. Thomi resuscitated my rabbit, only to inform me there were no options available. It is logical to me that since my rabbit was nearly dead, and there were no viable options at that point, that the animal should be left to die as quickly as possible, instead of being forced to endure more pain. And, of course, I was forced to shell out an additional $70 for the resuscitation and euthanasia, on top of the $200 vet bill for two x-rays, an IV (which fell out), and a night at APEX Animal Hospital in Helena.
