This place is a joke! First off the staff was nice. That is where the positives end! We booked cabin 600 months ago and were excited based on the positive reviews. We got there and the couch was torn up, the cabin was dusty, the floors were shot, the walls were paper thin to the point where when my son in the other room (all 40lbs of him) rolled over it woke me up. There is no wood burning stove as written on their website. The front porch was pitched so much that I tripped a couple times. There is NO view!!!!!! The cars go down the dirt road so fast that it is very noisy in the early am and late evening. The washer and dryer would have been great if the dryer didn't squeek so loud that it gave us all chills. Don't count on the wifi in the lobby for anything. It is slow and drops you. Cell phones are spotty there. I have verizon and had some reception my husband has AT&T and had no coverage. The hotsprings were a great temp, but it was NOT at all family friendly!!! There were beer cups from one side of the pool to the other. There were people all over each other and cussing, loud, obnoxious behavior in the evening. I am pretty easy going as a parent, but there were some things that I don't think 6 year olds should know about yet. I had to explain the 'f bomb' to them on the drive back to the cabin. (don't plan on walking if it is dark because there is no light on any trails) Last but not least the bugs! OMG the bugs!!!!!! Everytime you opened the front door you have to turn off all the lights and open and close fast and you still get a million moths in the cabin.
The manager tried to make it right. We should have just left.

Chico Hot Springs Resort is a great place. The rooms are nice. The food however is the best! It is a fun place to go for a weekend. Eat in the restaurant and enjoy the hot springs pool!

I had a very good experience at Chico Hot Springs. If you are looking for peace and quiet and to relax, this is the place to go. There are no TVs in the rooms so it is really quiet. Some of the rooms in the main lodge have to share bathrooms with the others in that wing, however, there are cabins on the hill, and a few houses if you can get if you have a large group. There are also conference rooms to have meetings in a separate building. The hot springs pool is very relaxing, and is warm even in the middle of winter. There are two restaurants that are very good as well. The setting is in the middle of the mountains which provides hiking and sightseeing and is beautiful!
