One of the worst lodging experiences we have had. The room was not clean, the bathroom walls were not finished( patched drywall, tape and mud not painted), the room smelled like dog urine and every time the room next door used their toilet or sink you could hear it in the room. Loudly! We were in the most expensive cabin they offered, I can only imagine what the others were like. We were forced to pay for two nights because of a unfriendly cancellation policy. But we did not stay two nights. We left the place as soon as we could get the car loaded. The food was one star at best. If you stay here bring a goody bag, after you eat in town.We travel extensively, and stay at a variety of hotels/inn/lodges,etc. We cannot under any circumstances recommend this place. Stay away!

This place is great and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The cabins were very cozy and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. And, best of all, the entire place is so rustic and charming. Definitely go and visit if you are looking for a fabulous get away.

My wife and I spent a few days at Lost Horse Lodge last winter and had a great time. We went snowmobiling, it's very beautiful country up there. The atmosphere was fun, very outdoorsy, what you'd expect from a lodge in Montana. My only complaint was the limited food options, the food wasn't bad, but more than a day or two of the same options got kinda old. We drove 30minutes back to Missoula for dinner a couple times.

I recently was a guest at Lost horse creek lodge. The log cabins were very comfortable and the Lodge itself and the historic Lost Horse western saloon were fantastic. The food was great especially the steaks. It is a little known unique place which we stumbled upon and were very fortunate in doing so. It ranks in the top 10 places that we have been to and stayed at. Connie the manager was super.

The experience was fantastic. Wonderful comfortable cabins, a restaurant serving delicious steaks and a fully stocked western saloon with live entertainment. The decor was historic and featured many game mounts including a 9 foot grizzly bear. Horse back riding is available. It is truly a one of a kind place with incredible views. My expectations were greatly exceeded and I would recommend the historic "Lost Horse Creek Lodge" to any one interested in a slice of authentic Montana. We went horse back riding in the Bitter Root National forest by pre arrangement and are returning for fly fishing on the near by Bitter Root River. The prices were very reasonable. They are the real deal. We met several celebrities there who were trying to "get away from it all." It was great. It was also the site of the filming of the Nature Valley Granola Bar commercial.

I would not recommend anyone to this place. Was never informed that there would be no dinner served so we had to drive back into town to buy food. The cabin was horrible. It smelt of sewer when the tub was turned on and you could hear your neighbors through the walls. I will never go back.
