When you have 6 dogs, you will inevitably make a trip (or two) to the Emergency Vet Clinic (usually in the middle of the night) and it's great to know that when you get there, these amazingly kind and super talented folks will be there for you. We've had numerous occasions to work with various vets and techs there...to a one, they are all professional, considerate and focused on helping our fuzzy kids through whatever is ailing them.

When our bulldog, Max, suddenly began having seizures on a Sunday morning, we rushed him here. The DVMs and staff were SO kind, efficient, thorough, compassionate and honest. They stabilized Max quickly and did everything to make him comfortable. We lost our boy later that night after he went into respiratory failure. Both Dr. Ellingson and Dr. Mikesell were wonderful and let me cry my eyes out and hold my Max while they put him to sleep. Hardest thing I have ever done. Thank you for taking such care of our bully.

Business Response:

Jenny, I'm glad that we could be there for you and Max. I know he was a great dog and a special part of your family! Thank you for your comments, Dr. Ellingson

Our cat experienced sudden respiratory failure on a Saturday afternoon. We rushed her to the Clinic, where the receptionist and on-duty veterinarian immediately went into action to intubate her and try to get her breathing again. Sadly, there was nothing they could do, and I signed the papers for cremation with no necropsy. Once home, I changed my mind and called to see if the veterinarian would do the necropsy after all. He did so, even though his shift was ending, and called me an hour later with the results. Everyone was very kind and compassionate--we even received a sympathy card a few days later, even though none of the staff knew or had treated our animals prior to this emergency. They not only fill a void for Missoula, they're very professional while doing so.

The Emergency Animal Clinic fills a void that Missoula used to have. It is comforting the know that there is a clinic that you know will be there to help you if you ever have an emergency with one of your pets.
