Excellent! I began 19 months ago at 46 years of age. I was laid up in bed with Chronic Lyme Disease and 70 lbs extra. I was only able to attend 1 hour twice a week at first. Now, I am able to attend up to 10 hrs a week including Grappling,

My kids were the first to start at Parker's Self Defense in Clayton. I joined just to try to get in shape. Over 7 years later, my daughter and I have both earned Black Sashes. SiJo James Parker is indeed a master - his knowledge of kung

I have studied different Martial Arts but found them lacking. Here at Parker's Self Defense I find a welcoming environment and the Head Instructor and Founder of the system actually teach each class. I drive from Raleigh because it is worth it.

I find it very refreshing that this studio teaches 6 days a week and that special classes like San Shou, grappling and weapon training are free for me.

I hope you will visit the studio for a free class for you or you children. The best way to understand Bai Kai is to experience it. Talk to the families that train there and make your own decision.

Hope to see you there.

This studio has a very questionable lineage. After leaving the school, I did some investigating and it is very hard to prove anything about their lineage. The atmosphere is terrible to learn in, because they have really small lobbies with screaming children all the time. All of my certs are garbage and mean nothing after two years. I am starting all over again.

They want money for everything. It is a minimum of $100 a month, plus fees for your certs. If you are a part of the grappeling program, certs cost $40! He gets the certs from the American Jujitsu federation for $5! Anyone can get them for $5! You must purchase all your gear through them only, and pay their high prices! Beware This School!

I recently took my four year old son for a trial class and I have to say it was a lot of fun! The instructor works well with the kids, but also sets expectations. I would recommend them!

My twins boys started taking the Little Warriors class first and by the 3rd or 4th month I was enrolled as well.
Everyone from the instructors to the members treat you like family.
Safety is their number one priority.
Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended-Ask for Kevin Dano. He is a great Instrctor for children.
Fairly priced and open evenings for the working moms and dads. Get a great work out!

Great instructors. Owner/Operators are patient, friendly and selective. Hope to see them continue to grow and expand into larger facility.
They offer safe and sane instruction to those serious about learning Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Grappling. They do not tolerate unsafe practices or individuals who are unsafe.
They also offer great instruction for young children.
This is my first experience w/ a martial arts studio and am very pleased w/ the instruction I have received.
