While I agree the physician turnover is frustrating, I can't agree with the other complaints posted. I have always gotten a call back the same day....usually a nurse who is most helpful & professional. I have always been able to get an apointment the same day if I am sick. The practice is required to keep openings for this purpose. As for the phone system, one of the first things it tells you is that if you have an emergency you should call 911. My Dr. is leaving again, so I am about to start over. Thank goodness I am relatively healthy.

On recommendations of friends, I called this office to establish myself as a new patient. I was told I had to wait three months for an appointment, even just to get acquainted. I said that my previous doctor said to be sure and have followup for my blood pressure as soon as I moved to Raleigh. The person replied, "well, maybe you need to go to an urgent care clinic".

Needless to say I found another doctor. Every practice needs to reserve some daily spots for emergencies and new patients.

I have been a patient of Harps Mill Internal Medicine for 10 years. I have been taken very well care of, especially by Dr. Karen Hill-Garrett. She is very caring and professional. She really listens and takes the time to answer all of your questions. Her nurse, April, is very nice and returns phone calls in a reasonable amount of time. I have recommended this practice and specifically Dr. Hill-Garrett to many friends. They have all shared the high quality of care that I have been fortunate to experience. The good news is you can too!

Dr. Karen Hill Garrett is one of the best Physicians that I have ever had. She takes the time to really get to know her patients and genuinely cares. She is thorough and follows up with her patients regularly. I have always been impressed at how short my wait has been before being seen and have never had a problem with any of the staff. They do all of the specialty referrals for you and even make those appointments before you leave their office. I highly recommend this practice.

I have been going to this office for the past 7 years. Every time I get a doctor that I like, they leave. Thank goodness I'm not sick that often. But with their latest turn over of doctors (lost my last two in the past year) I'm NOT going back.

I've been a patient here for at least a year. I have had occasion to call over the past several months due to health problems and prescription changes, often directed to do so by other providers. Most of the time I actually NEVER get a return call. Recently I had an episode which those close to me felt was a small stroke. I tried to reach the doctor on call as the after-hours voice mail directs to at least 30 times to get some feedback and the number DOESN' T EVEN WORK. There was no answering service, NOTHING. You are on your own here. Also, I have had to call to ask for a referral myself for specific ONGOING problems that turned out to be serious after seeing a specialist. My doctor never bothered to notice these things or care to refer me to a specialist.
