Mc Curdy's On Moonlight Bay

Drove by this place and saw all the cars in the parking lot. Had a hard time finding this place b/c the sign is a bit small and kind of blends in with everything. We had a great time from the time we set foot in the door. There was a short wait, but we played CORN HOLE as we waited and had a great time. We sat outside on the deck and had a great view of the sunset. After the sun went down we enjoyed the underwater lights.

The food was great! My husband had the Parmesan Encrusted Mahi with a Thai Chili Sauce & I had the Ribeye Steak with some sort of butter!

Great experience overall & the owner even talked to us on the way out.

The whole experience of eating here was great. Service, seating, food was exceptional. A great family place to dine. Many locals eat here, so you know its good.

Went to McCurdy's and had a wonderful meal and a fun and quiet time. We sat at the bar and my husband ordered off the bar menu to try the cheese steak and it lived up to the billing of an authentic Philly cheese steak. The owner (bartender) is from Philly and promised a good sandwich and they delivered. I ordered the Shrimp Parm and could only eat 1/2 b/c the portion was huge. We walked out on the deck to smoke as there was no smoking throughout the restaurant and the sunset was incredible. After our meal we hung out at the bar and tried one of there many beers on tap. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Let me start with the good - located off the Atlantic Beach causeway, you can sit outside and get a beautiful view of the inlet off of the sound. You may spot some mallards and plenty of seagulls from you chair. However, my service was poor. The waitress was very nice but the appetizer took 30 minutes to arrive. The salads another 15 minutes. We finally requested our food to go after an hour had passed. Another 10 minutes or so later we were ready to go. Maybe our waitress was just new - the tables being waited on by another waitress were moving along fine - as a matter of fact tables arriving after us ordered, ate and paid the bill while we sat and sat. The manager did comp us on some of our food but the entire experience left us sour. When we got home to finally eat, I found out that my order was wrong. My husband ordered the crabcakes and claims they were mostly filling and very little crab. To sum it up - we won't be going back.
