Low key & casual. Good atmosphere. Friendly people. Good place to chill out on the couches in the back and chat with friends.

If you just wanna drink some beer and hear some live music and don't really care about atmosphere, The Cave is where you wanna go. The cover charges are usually minimal, if there is one and they have a solid beer selection (no liquor or wine here). Dogs are welcome, as are children and your crazy uncle Larry. Down home, laid back, this place is ugly as sin, but it's so friendly that it just don't matter.

The Cave *is* the place to see bands, and bands *know* The Cave is the place to play. It hasn't sold it's soul to the corporate devil like Jillian's or Rum Runners; this is a real rock bar with a palpable, kind soul. You will leave The Cave smelling like smoke with ringing ears, as it should be. But, what you get in return, are the best, most honest performances area bands can muster.

Ten feet below West Franklin Street, a hearty jukebox in a two-pool table lounge cranks out modern classics from Dillon Fence to AC/DC. After a few smokes and a game of pool--for those who hate cue sticks there's…
