Porter's Tavern

Small portions and expensive. Can't believe such a place exists close to the campus. The food also tasted bad. May be it was a bad place for a vegetarian to go.

Everyone should try Porter's at some point. The vibe is great - perfect place for date night. I've tried quite a few menu items - but if I had to pick one entree - the pork chop with bleu cheese macaroni would win hands down every time.

Great for date night....my faves are the tempura green beans and the flat iron steak...delish!! There's easy parking just down the street. It's a quick walk to the restaurant.

One of my favorite places on Hillsborough Street, Porter's is one of the yummy restaurants owed by the Urban Food Group. The last time I went for lunch, I enjoyed a bowl of their bisque (although it was a bit salty, an unusual event for them) and a turkey sandwich. But the best part of the meal was the appetizer: the tempura greenbeans with chipotle mayo. Definitely a yummy starter. Reasonable priced and good portions. Good for lunch or dinner!

We tried Porter's Tavern for the first time nearly a year ago. We enjoyed it so much that we've returned several times! The food is awesome with a varied menu ... I love this place. Not too pricey and has a great atmosphere and the food is good.
