In the past I always hated going to the gym. Well O2 has changed that. The multitude of options of classes, circuit room, and plenty of cardio machines has made working out now an enjoyable and comfortable experience. I even bought bike shoes just to wear to spin class. Thanks for changing my mind and body O2. 27 pounds down, 10 to go.

I have been going to O2 for 2 years now I have never been at a better facility & I love love love this place! I believe their greatest asset is the staff. They are always there with smiles & to help me with whatever I need even if it's just an ear when I am frustrated with my progress! I have developed new friendships with many of them & find it a peaceful place to go & workout. The classes they offer are killerespecially the ab classes & the whole facility is clean & fresh. Try it out & enjoy!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this gym! I had a hard time losing baby weight after my first child and O2 helped me find the motivation to do it. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and seem to love what they do. The GM is outgoing and personable...and the classes he teaches are killer. I burn way more calories in one of his classes than any other class I've tried. The class selection is unlike any other gym I've belonged to. There are so many options & time slots to choose from.
Other reviews say this gym is "snooty". In 3 years, I have never encountered this. In fact, I've developed incredible friendships with many of the people that take the same classes as I do each week. It's been great to find others that have the same fitness goals as I do. Now, I look forward to my workouts knowing that I'll probably run into someone I know!
Keep up the great work O2!

When my wife and I moved here O2 Fitness was the first gym we looked at, and we were hooked. Tons of machines that are very new and well kept (except for the touch screens on those cardio machines) and many great options and variations for weights. Freeweights, cables, freemotion, etc. Also they have a lot of fantastic classes available to members at convenient times.

People:
I'm not sure what the other reviewers mean about the staff being snooty. Everyone always talks to me and everyone knows my name. All the members and staff are ready to hold any door, answer any question, give me a towel, return the many things I've lost, and I even saw the GENERAL MANAGER outside in his good shirt and slacks shoveling out a prime parking spot.

Personal Training:
I worked with one particular personal trainer and he was an encyclopedia of knowledge; truly a fantastic guide and I GREATLY improved my fitness level while working with him. Even after, I asked for some additional advice to keep me on the path, and a 10 minute chat with him has flattened my stomach in 5 weeks.

Price:
Its inexpensive for the two of us (in my opinion), as I was used to paying the same for just myself at a previous gym, and we had none of the classes or modern equipment.

Pros:
price
people
modern
clean
lots of room

Cons:
its not free
they dont make/sell tacos

I'm completely satisfied with 02 fitness. I find the staff friendly enough...they greet me politely when I walk in... wish me a nice day when I leave...the equipment is clean and in working order...lots of group classes and a training staff that to my observation seems knowledgeable and engaged... as far as whether people are snooty ...how would I know? I don't go there to pick up chicks I go to work out. Their prices seem in line for the amenities and services they offer. What's not to like?

I have tried several gyms in the past and I have found O2 Fitness is the only one I have ever felt comfortable attending. I am an overweight (6' tall, 272 lbs) 40 something who has bad knees and a bad back, not one of the young, beautiful crowd! I have found the staff to be very friendly and the personal trainers to be very knowledgeable. I like the mix of people who attend the gym. There isn't a "meat-market" feel to the place. I have observed almost all of the trainers while working out, and I have found them to be very pleasant and motivating. My wife and I have used the services of Chad, who pushes you to do more, without insulting or belittling our abilities. He impressed us enough to warrant our coming back to use his services again when my wife wanted to start back after a knee injury. The front desk people have always been very pleasant and cheerful. The atmosphere is bright and inviting. I also like the darkened room where you can go workout. This is a great relaxing environment, especially if you work a high stress job. They have saunas in the individual locker rooms (I am making an assumption on the women's, since I haven't ventured there!) They have a wide variety of classes, including yoga, Les Mills classes (bodypump rocks!, especially if K-Pop runs the class!), and pilates. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to have a nice, clean place to workout. I have never used the daycare area, but I have seen it (looks nice).

If you need personal training, Dennis, Chad, Joni, Rebecca, and K-Pop are awesome. I can't remember the other trainers' names, they have such a wide variety, but from what I have observed, they are well worth the expense.

The new location would be better if they didn't have such poor personal trainers. There is one particular trainer that is old and doesn't seem to be well educated on healthy eating and personal training. I would not recommend this club for personal training.

I'm been going to the YMCA and just wasn't loving it. I finally got trial to the O2 Creedmoor Rd location and have had a great experience. The staff that greets me is nice, chatty, remembers me (what else could I ask for). The daycare staff is genuinely night. They remember my kids by name and welcome them in and the have a great time in there. My kids are 2 and 3 and they look forward going to the gym every day. That say a lot from my two kids.

I don't think the floor staff/trainers are all the friendly but I don't take it personally. They are working and I'm sure they don't want to just chit chat with members who are also trying to work out.

The people who work out there are not overly friendly. There seems to be a couple fo cliques that is what it is.

My only gripe about this place is the grossly overlooked rule of restacking your weights. When you are done with a machine PLEASE take your weights off! This is so beyond rude. And so far I'm seeing it several times every day. It's getting hard to keep my mouth shut!

I would agree with what I have read so far. I paid for the 24 session and I found it to be just ok but again it ready depends on the trainer and your dedication. The two trainers I had weren't that great but I have seen some very good female trainers there more then male trainers. They (males) really didn't push me and for the most part they reflexed in some way or another that they didn't want to be there. But the manager Dennis is great he will do his best to resolve any and all issues that are brought to his attention.
I've found the the evening crowed to be more friendly then going during the day as far as the classes go great and the staff great. I always feel welcome.

After reading the other reviews I decided to go ahead and check out O2 Fitness in Falls Village. The reviews made me nervous but once I step into the club I was shocked! We're they talking about the same place? The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Just ask and anyone is available to help you out if you need it. I must say, the trainers here are outstanding... they do the most interesting workouts and are well worth the money (if you feel you need a trainer). The classes are great and instructors make you feel as if you belong! Many of the members have been long term members, going for years... definitely in shape and pleased with the club which is always good to know. I've found the members NOT snooty but friendly as well as focused on their workout. Some might call it pricey but it is definitely worth the money. Another plus is that O2Fitness handles their own billing.... which I don't know if you all have heard of clubs such as peak who have ABC financial handling their billing... what a hassle/mess that was!! Amazing atmosphere, intelligent - certified trainers, super pleasant staff and tons of new friends.

If you have more than 5 pounds to lose, you will feel uncomfortable here. The employees are nice, but forcibly so. The members are SO snooty. I am one to always say hi and smile to everyone. If you're like this, DON'T expect the same in return. I can honestly say that no member has even so much as spoken to me.
The trainer I paid extra for is great, but don't expect help with the machines and such if you didn't purchase training sessions for a substantial cost.
The childcare is an afterthought and I only left my child there once for that reason.
The facility is nice with lots of choices, and the cost of the membership was lower than I expected it would be after seeing the place.
They will hit you with a facilities improvement fee that will probably surprise you in addition to your monthly fee.

Business Response:

O2 Fitness Responds... O2 Fitness prides itself on great customer service, a comfortable environment to exercise in, and a knowledgeable and friendly staff, including our childcare staff and personal trainers! In order to accommodate our wide range of members, we have incorporated over 50 Group Fitness classes per week, plenty of personal trainers to choose from, tons of cardio equipment and free weights, as well as a cardio getaway room for members that like to work out in the dark! Everyone starts somewhere, and O2 Fitness is proud to be able to help members of all fitness levels achieve their goals. We also have wonderful Member Socials every 3 months where we all get together at a local restaurant for free food, prizes, and fun! It's an extremely casual environment where members can socialize with other members, as well as the O2 Fitness staff!

I expect people look for different things in a fitness center but I can't find many negatives at this facility. The staff is friendly and courteous. The decor is upscale and modern. It has a club atmosphere with individual rooms and is not one big open gym with equipment in the middle of the floor. There's a ton of equipment available. I've never found it to be crowded.

PROS: Clean, above average staff, good atmosphere for working out.
CONS: Cost a few dollars more but is worth it.

I should have realized they weren't really dedicated to helping people lose weight and get fit when their workout clothing selection was all size L or smaller. Without going into all the specifics, I was told things when I signed up that turned out to be untrue. I also discovered that many other gyms (with better hours and free personal training) were cheaper. "Rules" were not enforced (like men wandering around in the "women's only" area, outside food being allowed in the nursery), broken things went unrepaired. Poor experiences with staff. Except Scott Smith. He's awesome. But the rest - pffft. Perhaps they have improved, but I won't go back.

O2 fitness is a wonderful club! The environment is elegant, and refreshing. There are not only workout machines, but classes too! The yoga and pilates studio are my favorite. Many people recommend the 30 minute Oxygen Express Workout! I would definitely check this club out if you are looking for a new gym, or even switching over from your current one!

PROS: Offers a 30 minute express workout

I've worked out all over the Raleigh area. This place is number one ... hands down.

The trainers are excellent ... friendly and professional.

Good free weights, good machines, good spinning bikes. Everything's good. Excellent weekend
