The food is super yum, the wait staff is kind and treats you like a friend and the owner is super OCD about cleanliness. A wonderful Chinese restaurant!

I have to agree that Hong Kong has gone downhill over it's time. The food is still good, and staff is friendly, the owner is very personable and genuinely cares about your satisfaction! It's worth it for a great customer service experience if nothing else.

We've been going to Hong Kong for 8 years now, and despite all the growth, it still has the best Chinese food around the Wake Forest area. The staff is always friendly, and we've never been disappointed. We do take out at least once a month. They always offer 20% off coupons in the regular val-pack coupon envelopes that are sent to all the area residences, which is a nice discount!

Hong Kong Wontons are very good. If you get a lunch entree you about get your money's worth. If you order from here at night you will get ripped off. If they lowered their prices they would have more dedicated dine-in eatters instead of take-home orders. Why do you think they are so empty when you go in to pick-up your carry-out order? Who wants to leave a tip and purchase drinks on a way-over-oriced menu?

Pros: (Empty) Panda King opened near Harris Teeter... Just as yummy and better priced!

Cons: (Empty) overpricing in a small town, nasty lighting, strip mall location

Hong Kong Restaurant has seen better days. However, it still offers reasonably good Chinese food. Ming Dwon (spelling?) is the head cook, and he originally came from China. He started as a cook in the kitchen and eventually ended up buying the restaurant. A great story! Ask him about it. They have good Chinese food. It's certainly not the best, but it is good.

Food is tasty, but way too expensive. Also, you only get rice and nothing else included with the entrees. Empty on a Saturday night.l
