I give Brentwood Animal Hospital, or rather, the Doctor, 0 stars. The ONLY reason it has one star, is because you must click on a star, in order to post your comment! Otherwise, he would get no stars. Please be advised, this vet may come across fine, but he has neither the personality, nor the confidence, to be a good vet! This man never talks to the pets. He simply examines them, as if they are a stuffed toy. Furthermore, should you choose to take your dog to another vet for a 2nd opinion - which is not only a good idea, but encouraged, by many vets - except him - and your pet is a current patient with him, he will remove himself from being your vet.

This man gets very threatened by other vets. Everything I have put in this review, every single word, is absolutely the truth. I am speaking from experience. I was floored beyond belief, when, after I'd been taking my pets there for the better of 8 years, that this man - I'm sorry, I really can't call him a vet in good conscience - told me to just take the dog back to the other vet and let them care for him. Keep in mind, please, that I had, in fact, taken my dog to another vet, for a 2nd opinion, when it was clear this man was unable or at the very least, unwilling to help me.

This is the cheapest hospital in Raleigh, money wise. Absolutely the cheapest. But, if you want quality care and someone who will actually talk to you pet, as well as someone who will NOT get offended or threatened, when you take your dog or pet to another vet for a 2nd opinion, then please do not go here.

When I took my dog there for a cough he had had for a good while and no medication touched it, I took him back, yet again, for another check for his cough. Upon leaving, I mentioned to the man, Did you check for what might be continuing to cause the cough? And his words to me, exactly (and I do quote this), were: He didn't cough while he was here. My husband was in the room and heard this. This man actually denied he ever said this! Furthermore, he stated to me that he writes everything down that he says. Well, he must've forgotten that day! My husband was in the room and we both heard it. Please do not use this vet - please take my word for it: Sure, you'll save a lot of money, that's true. You'll also be dealing with a vet that gets very irritated and threatened, should you take your dog to another vet, for a 2nd opinion.

This man also has the personality of a rock. No wonder they are so inexpensive.

I have been bringing my pets to Brentwood Animal Hospital for over 8 years. Steve, the vet, has always taken great care of my animals. Shelly has been on staff for as long as I can remember and is always very friendly. Brentwood's prices are considerably cheaper than other vets offering the same services. I recently moved 20 miles away but still use them even though there are plenty of other vets nearby. It is well worth the trip.

PROS: Same vet for over 8 years; They don't overcharge
CONS: I moved away so it's a long drive

We have been bringing our cats and dog here for many years. The staff is always helpful and Dr Steve is great. I have never felt uneasy about taking out pets to Brentwood animal hospital, they are great.

It was ok, waitting a long time with a sick cat, They didnt even seem that busy, thats why we had gone there, The lady that was helping us wasnt very nice at all, we kept asking her if we were going to be seen sometime soon and she just smiled, also they will not give you a price until after wards, offer a payment plan but not really that great. They do take a lot of forms of payment but again Very un happy people that work there, Maybe just a bad day BUT we will NEVER go back, kinds dirty and a little hard to find, but the VEt was nice when we did get to see him.

Brentwood Animal Hospital has provided outstanding care to our treasured pets for years...as well as equally compassionate care to us as the pet owners! Dr. Steve and the entire staff are excellent, both professionally and personally, and we cannot say enough nice things about the way they have taken care of our dogs, both "in sickness and in health." Unqualified endorsement of this fine staff and facility.

My family and I have been taking our animals here for many years. First our cats and now our dogs. I would never go anywhere else. They are very friendly and personable and their prices are way less then other vets. I have had vets quote me wrong prices and lie to me and the people at Brentwood have always quoted me the right prices and have always been honest. Dr. Steve is great with animals and very informative and helpful. The staff is great and the office is very clean. I would highly recommend taking your animals here. I recently moved out of raleigh and still drive 20 minutes to take them to Brentwood. It's well worth it.

I have lived in the Raleigh area over 20 years. Originally, Dr. Steve was one of our vets when he was with Tower Animal Hospital. I took all my animal there and was very satisfied. Tower was bought out by a big chain. I continued to go to Tower and was not as pleased, especially with the cost. A few years ago, I found out that the original doctors at Tower Animal were at Brentwood Animal Hospital. Of course, I switched over. The same great service, the same great friendliness, and the same great prices. I have three dogs and two cats, so a good vet is very important to me. We have recently moved to Wake Forest, but would not even consider switching vets. For personal and friendly service and great prices, I highly recommend Brentwood Animal Hospital.
